i've heard the aurora has some good qualities but i was concerned with the killer b after hearing about your towing issue. Mine is bad and I have a 34' trailer I haven't had to tow yet. ONly when camping, but i think i'm going to go ahead and tow it and see what it does. hey we should forget the dyno since they are both broken pfi won't be up till tuesday. they overnighted parts to dynojet inc or something. Lets race with campers instead. a real nice white trash event. I'm in.
 
mr lockner i think i'm gonna make the journey what's the number of the place i have to contact and how are they? Good folks i hope i'm dying to see what this thing can do. I got that damn crankshaft code again today with the banks stuff on six and the program on extreme. Burned the tires sickley though. I mean i've always seen the trucks that can disappear in a cloud of smoke. Now i have one. I love it when the tires are smoking white and the exhaust is just choking the general public in the vicinity. I got the video footage of the 2 dyno's breaking i got it and then i even got my rest of my conversation leaving it on accidentally. man there's some funny stuff on there. I have an analog camcorder and i don't have a usb plug i have an s video which i can hook to the computer but it doesn't register with the pc or windows. I think I need to have the usb thing so what do i do get an adapter somewhere i tried for 3 hours yesterday to get that on my web page.
 
i hate the surge but when i looked at the killer b i mean it took a while for me to even fine anyone who said anything badly about it then finallly the first problem, barking surging issue. When i first had the turbo with the first wheel it didn't bark or surge one time i mean at all for like almost a month then when it did it once it just kept happening more frequently. The new wheel made it one day i broke down and did the 20 lbs boost launch barked hard and then more and more often and surging excessively every since. I kinda like when it's surging to just hammer her down and make it fight through paul said it's tuff so i figure it can take it. I'm just gonna get that tripple that i saw on the earth rover or whatever. I think that's a good route, what's the boost on that like 120 or more. Maybe i can get bob to pipe it back into the bed and run enough tubing to add a couple more. lol that would be funny.



i've hard good things about the pius or pias a person had one for sale on here i think. 70 lbs boost and nitro is encouraged too. I won't dog paul though he was very busy and he did get back to me when he was ready and again today and he's standing behind it just like he said he would and just like i hoped he would. so i guess mr bob will get the total enjoyment of the install. I wanna get it right so i figure i'll leave my hands away from it and everything would be good. Mr bob i'm sensing a conspiracy on the turbo install/upgrade, U guys working together. lol just kidding i picture this "hey just send him another one i know it's the same but he doesn't know that this way i can install it. " lol only kidding i know you guys are professionals and never would do that but i thought of that for a sec just me that's all. You guys are great and have helped me out immensley and i greatly appreciate it and recomend both.
 
i can't speak on the buly dog downloader but i gave a guy with that tst comp box a ride and he said I would smoke his rig. I have a lot of different upgrades that he doesn't though. transmission, turbo, fass injectors. So i don't know he was like ear to ear loving it and i can't wait any more i need to get down on 52nd in dtown. I was gonna just do these because they are close and i have previous runs on them but i'll get a hold of them on monday if someone posts the number and i'll go there if there is an opening. I'll leave the program off and run it with the banks stuff and with the banks stuff off and then program performance and do banks on and off, then program extreme and do banks on and off so it sounds like i'll have what 6 runs there but i'm gonna run a middle level 3 setting also so that's 9 runs. I'd love to get the number and call this guy and set it up to be there. I"m telling u you will be surprised. I can understand waiting for numbers but straight up this thing is just sick and wrong. I mean honest to god joe will give you a money back in writing if you don't throw down at least 200 at the wheels send it back. He listened to me question everything on his product only to laugh and make me a deal at a discount and i called him back like "i'm sorry man" I told him no way was it going back i can honestly say that sop testing easy 125 more hp then before it's incredible now with the banks stuff on six it's not even realistic. If a cop is near you're gonna get a pollution ticket or something for sure. Then If you don't have a few city blocks to run free in then it becomes a wasted effort. I am trying to figure out an easy way to get my camera footage on and then you be the judge. If you try the program you won't send it back unless you think it's too powerful honest to god truth. I don't know joe other then this buy and i was critical of his claims too in the beginning. I took a chance and I'm glad because i'm a guy who's honest if i thought that it was laim or soft or weak i wouldn't tell anyone to purchase it and i would do my best to make sure they didn't. Give it a try he was laughing in my face the whole time on the phone when i expressed the claims and the overall effectiveness of the program. I can take a short movie with my digi cam maybe i'll do that just to give some insight.
 
to further answer the stock issue of reprogramming. I did it tonight after throwing the same 2 codes again. i put it to stock and this time the break light and the abs light both shut off and it was stock and i ran the banks on six a bit and i laughed. I mean i used to smoke people with just that. i swear to god guys and the numbers are gonna be way higher i it's like nothing i've seen. I've been around tst and a few folks have tst with edge but i know that they guy who i gave a ride too with the 04 tst comp went to the pfi dyno and threw down like 460 or 480 i can't remember exactly but it was weak i thought. I mean with my six gun and injectors alone i was getting over 500 on the same dyno

The reason you get the codes and the ABS light on for a moment is because while removing your stock program and installing the new program the computor is looking for your vehicle vin# which is temporary removed while switching programs. Once the key has been cycled a few times it will recognize vehical vin# again and you are back in the saddle.
 
The Quad downloader does that same thing in regards to the brake light and abs light staying on for a little while after its programmed in.
 
Moolie, a surge and a bark is two entirely different things. The bark is when you let up on the throttle fast and the turbo barks cause the excess boost has nowhere to go. The surge is when the air is not flowing properly under load/boost. As I mentioned previously there is a fix for it. It involves modifying the air pipe that comes from the filter. There really is no need to live with the surge. As for the bark, just about any turbo will bark on these new third gens when you are running a hot program like the one you have and some of the others currently on the market. HX-40's get barked all the time. Barking is not specific to this turbo design.

I like it allot so far, In my opinion this is the best turbo that HTT has especially for our 3rd gens plus there is no surging to speak of, although it does spool a little slower than the Killer B but not by much and it pulls hard all the way through the rpm range. Mike
 
Moolie... ... ... ..... Is the truck your talking about the same one you had on the DTR? I mean you were talking about the dyno being broke over there before you even came to TDR and the pics of the truck show it doesnt have current tags on it... ... ... ... it has dealer tags??????? Is the black truck yours?

i don't know if i was talking about it before dtr or not i am not sure when i arrived now what i know is that is my truck 4 months i've had it and i dyno'd it already 6 times where did you see a photo of not current tags? I left the front red one on a while but there are colorado tags on it. as far as the dyno being broken there are 2 in northern colorado redline is one which i broke first i got most of that on video and then there is pfi speed which i broke last friday upon it breaking i immediatly called laser bob and told him my scenario now i think i may have to go down to 52nd street. I have video of that dyno too i'm gonna get those posted on my page once i figure out what's going on with an analog addittion to the computer non usb hookup. the video's don't show a whole lot really i mean they weren't even complete runs when the shut down at 2000 rpm but the pfi place says tues or wed at best and i don't have a clue on redline. Trust me i call them both on a regular basis and i'm gonna get on there i've gotten tons and tons of sheets from them before i just seemed to have gotten to them when they needed a software upgrade or something that caused them to malfunction. Don't worry i'll take a short movie with my digital camera with a newspaper and the correct license plate and i'll get jfk and stick him in the movie too. Any thing else that needs to be added to the movie? Some of that corny porno music too.

This code is typical to be in your pcm when you have program loaded, however it should not trigger your service engine soon light, and it will not cause any harm.....

enjoy the power, let me know how much power your truck makes and send me a photo of your truck on and off the dyno, maybe even a nice tire smoking burn out, and we will post them to our site with your dyno results... ...

it's been thrown with a p0336 crankshaft code they both come at the same time then the ecm error stays around and around forever can't clear it, it comes right back
 
ok sounds good sir what i'll do is call them are they open today. I would like to see your rig anyway because laser bob told me about it. It's a 12 second club daily driver i think if i remember correctly. with the dtt transmission. i'm not sure what else. Did you rsvp for ats dyno day? I'm debating i think a 300 hp nos would be swell before i show up there
 
yes there is a red dealer plate on the front and on the back that's correct. I'm not sure what the significance is however. Is it not supposed to have that on front and on back. I never even touched them until i actually got my plates so they stayed there for a while. I'm not sure what you are asking and what i am supposed to answer. I left them on until the plates were purchased. Never took them off or touched them at all.
 
mr lockner i called and left a message with that place requesting something for monday afternoon around 3 pm and i left him my name and number hopefully he gets with me early on monday if not i'll call them and see if he can't get me in there so we can see what this beast will put down. I am gonna take a video of me burning the tires on the digi cam here in a bit and post them to my page. I'm not sure actually how to do video information yet i'm just getting into that whole scene
