Driving home on the final stretch of 3-lane highway tonight I noticed a healthy, throaty-sounding CTD right next to me coming from a 2nd gen 2500. In a brief bit of male machismo I gave my throttle a quick stomp as if to see if I could out-do his sound while equally making my presense known. Low and behold another 2nd gen, this time a 3500 dually like mine, comes up huffin' and puffin' beside us. Before you know it the three of us are jockeying for position down the highway to see who could be louder, smokier, and, dare I say, faster. It was quite a sight. each one of us was loaded with aftermarket items so highway was covered in black soot. Ahhhhh love that stuff! Three 2nd gens racing down the highway ahead of the pack of traffic (don't worry, we weren't exceeding the speed limit, just making our presense known). Two 3500s with the 2500 in the middle. I could barely make out the headlights behind us due to all the smoke.

As I turned into my subdivision both drivers gave me a throttle "good-bye". I had to let her cool for nearly 10 minutes this time since we were running so hard.

Ahhhhh... . it's the small things in life. I love my CTD.

I was on the road tonight when i was passed my a fellow 3rd gen and it had a nice sound to it. so i droped in behind him and at the next light we both were on it, me to the floor but i know he had more in his because everyonce in a while when i'd start pulling him in he stab at it and smoke me, and even with my hads free in my ears and windows up i could hear him over everything else. i can't wait for my smarty and a muffler.

And you are wondering why we are getting ULSD, right? SNOKING

It's got to be a Dodge CTD thing, love it. I wonder if the Furd PS guys do the same thing. Well then again, they don't have much to brag about!!! :-laf :-laf :-laf

Yep thats right, SO all us boys and our toys can still have just as much fun. Go to the political section to start that please... ... . I was coming up on a pack of Fords, newer models, I think there were about 4 or five of them. anyways they all had gooseneck rodeo trailers loaded moving south on I-35 just north of Oklahoma City. I was loaded to about 16-17K GCW with a gooseneck and a tractor. It was kinda funny to watch these guys. On a straight run they would run about 70mph and little smoke, on the little hills down that road they would all belch a bunch of smoke at the bottom, and I mean black the day out smoke, then about to the top of the hill I was really gaining on them. I had cruise set at 73mph and I got tired of dropping out of cruise so I pulled over and slid on past. I got a little past the front truck and then here he came back at me. smoke just a rollin. I just left it in cruise and at the next hill I was gone. I didn't smoke, I didn't look back. Ahhhhhh the power of a Cummins. :-laf
