Pullrite 5er hitch-how to disconnect?

Check this out and tell me what you think. I'm planning on fabricating a mounting system for the back of my trailer - so I can run it with the Trailer and not have to remove it - I'm interested in making sure the AC will keep the trailer cool - if I'm not in it - my yellow labs need to be "Cool Dogs"

Howdy,

My guess is that your trailer is set up for 30A 120V power and with an adapter you can live of 20A. Most trailer airconditioners will easly run on the 20A, which is about 25000 Watts. You will also have enough left over for some lights and probably the fridge (to keep the beer cold!). You will not be able to run the microwave at the same time however. Your unit looks pretty good for the application. (I'm thinking about doing the same thing on my 29 footer. Then again, I keep thinking about a little Diesel generator setting the back of the truck. "THAT'S PORTABLE POWER!" Just haven't found a unit yet, or maybe I haven't found the budget yet!

Thanks guys -

Great info --- NOW can anybody tell me why the fuel tanks are so small on these generators? I know fuel is heavy - but how hard would it be to add an additional tank - I'm considering having a box made for the generator and having an additional tank - say 20 gallons.....

Buying Gens

Check out the small ads in the back of an issue of Trailer Life magazine... . Some pretty good prices there on Honda generators, and sometimes one or two on the Yamahas

Looks like a nice genset. Sounds like we're thinking along the same lines, I'm going to have the bumper removed and replaced with a platform running the full width of the trailer. Then I'll mount storage boxes and the generator on it. I'm looking at moving the batteries to the back also. That will clean up the tongue area behind the LP bottles so I can mount another storage box up front.
