I had a factory Dodge ride for the One Lap of America back in 1991, the first year for the Stealth/Mitsu 3000GT. They gave us a twin turbo all wheel drive car... (nice car to go to the office, but hardly a GT). . anyway, there were some fellas entered in an Omni GLHS that went thru the speed traps at Charlotte Speedway at 155mph!!! What a flying shoebox!!. . I saw the hood open later and went to snoop; it was a greasy, nasty mess, all black and never been Gunk'd. . why ask why?

Love those Boss Mustangs!! I compete against a few of them in vintage racing, but have never driven one... street or race. I guess the early Z28 would be similar. Briar, there are 2 Pantaras that run occationally in some racing events, and the owners ARE mechanics and engineers!! I feel sorta bad for them, and the English-car drivers as they work feverishly under jackstands, and I sit in a lawnchair in the shade, drinking water with nothing to do except add gas and check tire pressures! I have gobs of time behind the wheel of new Porsche 993, 996, and twin turbo cars. The new-new twin turbo is... well, its a nice car... but its not *fun*. Speed isnt what blows my skirt up, and this new car feels and sounds the same at 45 and 125mph... soft, quiet, relaxed... all you can hear at 125 is the a/c blower... amazing!... but not FUN. The Ruf prepared cars are scarry--3200lbs and 550-600hp with brakes that will throw you out on the hood. Drove a single turbo car with a clutchless 6 speed gearbox, and it pulls as hard at 170mph as it does at 70!!! Just incredible!!! Now, if I was Wayne Huizinga...
