Since my sedan is out of commission, My wife and I brought our newborn baby home from the hospital in my '95 regular cab 2500. He loved it! We put the car seat in the center between us. I pulled the fuse to the air bag, but I am nervous that this is not enough?

I would think that no fuse = no power, so you should be okay, but I'm surprised that you haven't set off any codes. I saw in your sig that the cat was sent off to the landfill..... is this truck a gasser? Cats didn't get on our trucks until about 10 years later.

There should be a fuse for the air bags, make sure the ignition is off and you can even unhook the batts.

I think the tree hugging trucks from california had them, the ones that find their way out here magically fall off going down the road, I sure wish I knew what was going on. :D

My '96 has a cat.

"The diesel engine exhaust system consists of an exhaust manifold, turbocharger, exhaust pipe, catalytic converter, extension pipe (if needed), muffler and exhaust tailpipe. " Section 11; Page 1 (1996 Ram Truck Factory Service Manual).

If you want to call a resonator a cat that is fine by me:-laf:-laf:-laf

Rookie;)

My 98 12v had no Cat. When I went to 4 inch I had a muffler shop do it and they said Cat was not required. Made a little difference when you romp on it. First time I heard my turbo whine.

Congrats on the new baby. You had better get sleep when ever you can. I can not answer your air bag question but maybe after everyone is done arguing the cat. thing, which you didn't ask about, someone will have the answer.
