A pic and a P/N would be great! I've been kicking around the idea of the "T" conversion for a while, but the dampener solution was giving me pause. I didn't know the factory stuff would transfer. Good to know!

Was looking around for the bracket and saw this one at Currie. I would also like to keep the factory setup, easier in the future for ordering parts. Does anyone know off hand the diameter of the HD tierod?

I ended up getting in later than I thought, I will be happy to measure the tie rod tomorrow and I will locate the P/N tonight for the Dodge piece.

Parts are all in.

Just receive all my parts. Wow talk about HD, that tie bar is heavy The bracket from Currie works great, now I can run a stock steering stabilizer. :) I just need to get the truck in the shop.

All done

Everything fit great. The shop I took it to was impressed on the size of the tie rods. They also mentioned that the angles for this set up was perfect (my truck is level).

The truck steers completely different :D I can feel the wheels working together. Before when I hit a pot hole or big crack in the road I would feel the front wheels move independently like they were loose. Now they work together, and that feeling of being loose is gone. The down side:( the truck still wonders down these crapy LA fwy's but when I'm on the asphalt it tracks straight down the road. I guess the DSS is next.

Can someone please tell me EXACTLY what parts I need for the conversion. I would like to do this swap but want to have everything on my bench before I start. Thanks

Here is the part number list:

MOOG Part #ES2012S (tie rod adjuster sleeve)
MOOG Part #DS1456 (passenger tie rod)
MOOG Part #DS1459 (drag link)
MOOG Part #ES3496 (drivers side tie rod end)
MOOG Part #ES3497 (drag link tie rod end)
MOOG Part #ES3498S (drag link adj sleeve)

I bought everything from Auto Parts Fast at RockAuto , great prices, fast shipping!

Talked to Rock Auto this morning. The Mevotech brand parts for the swap are not greasable but cost $224. 00. The Moog is greasable and cost $342. 94. Mevotech is made in china with 1 year warranty. Moog made ????? with lifetime warranty.

So far as I know every box for the Moog parts I got said made in USA. I would not save the extra $$ by using that China stuff, you will be replacing it much sooner than the Moog parts.

I put a PSC 3 turn gearbox and DSS on my '02 last weekend, and had all the parts to convert to a t-setup, but when I got the parts on, I had some clearance issues at full lock. Did you guys that have late model 2nd gen's and went to the t-setup have clearance issues when you did the conversion?

I don't have the T setup but I seem to recall that some members who did the conversion had a problem with the wheel rubbing against the end of the tie rod at full lock. I believe that one member installed a spacer on the wheel stop so the wheel wouldn't turn sharp enough to hit. I also recall that another member did some grinding to get clearance. Do a search and I'm sure you'll find the info.

Where were the clearance issues at? I have an early '02 and all the parts to do the conversion in my garage.

I did a search to try and find the posts about clearance issues and this is all I could find, (see link, post #122 and #126). Apparently the clearance issues were between the tie rod end and the wheel weights. I'm not sure why some have issues and others don't, maybe year model.
