Yeah, I did that also. If one does not mind have the Smarty connected all the time. OTF adjustability seems to work pretty good.

I hope this question doesn't sound too silly, but in the absence of official, from the manufacturer full settings descriptions, I'm wondering what the SW# level settings are for. In the original Smarty, the higher settings basically brought the fueling in earlier in the RPM/accelerator stroke. All CaTCHER settings delivered the same total HP gain, just on milder to wilder curves. It seems to me that is what the Torque setting does now. If that's true, what does the SW# do? Is it a percentage of additional fueling, e. g. HP gain from 0-65? To be honest, I haven't tried SW1 on Torque 6. Guess what I'm doing on the drive home
At least it's fun to play with the truck again!
I'm starting to think that the SW settings are "metering" the amount of extra fuel that the fuel injection pump delivers.
Much to my surprise, my favorite setting so far is:
SW1, Torque 6, Timing 3, Duration 1.
I find this to be very snappy off the line but doesn't hit as hard or smoke as much as the same parameters on higher SW numbers. Roll-on power on the highway leaves something to be desired, but in stop-and-go traffic, it's fun with little drawback.
I had a thought on the duration setting. Those of us that run a Blue Chip FMS, FMSP, Or Redline have a setting (Set from BC) that can be altered to specific VP pumps due to solonoid variations that also control duration when the box is fueling.
Can the smarty AND the FMS compound duration OR is it the higher one wins kind of situation.
I noticed that in "Drag Mode" I am seeing a less aggressive "Lazy" fueling thing and was wondering if hat may have something to do with it?
Towing,
What are your thoughts of:
SW3, TQ2, T2, D2

Ran mine yesterday set at SW3 TQ6 TM3 D0. Loved they way it ran. With the TST on ran SW3 TQ6 TM0 D0.
