Lousy picture from Cell phone showing Pulse on top with Analog Gauges below. I have The MPH setting of the Pulse set for top left corner, its easier that watching the dash speedo!

holy gauges batman!! Rick, thats quite the setup there. . looks a little wild but i suppose after you get used to it, it isnt too bad. . my wife hates my 2 gauges and say that they bother her when shes driving. . I told her to quit driving it then! :)

Yes, The Pulse is great but kept my Pyro, Boost and added a Autometer Fuel Pressure to the side. Did not want to send back harness, Adrenaline etc. Just to have fuel pressure. I trust the gauge more! My wife drives a Liberty CRD, and really does not like my truck "to touchy" she says! The gauges really don't block your vison with that goofy A Pillar anyway!

The only issues I've ever had with my Pulse/Adrenaline combo have been with the pulse.

The buttons have been something of a pain... they are way too small and spongy. They didn't work worth a darn until I took the Pulse apart and scratched them down a bit with scotch brite.

I'm working on a button mod which may help with the feel and give them a more positive application.

Also, at night when you can see the light, my screen looks dirty and smudged from behind. It's not a deal breaker by a long shot but it does bother me, since it was that way from brand new. Not very impressive for such an expensive device.

I will probably send it in before the warranty runs out to get it fixed, cleaned or replaced.

The Adrenaline has been flawless from day 1. I've been using the stock 1000 tunes and it has run like a champ... lots of power, smooth application and no surging. Defueling is so smooth that if I'm not watching it, I can't tell it's happening.

I sent my Pulse back and they fixed everything under warranty within one week. I used the POD during the wait. I don't want to send back almost everything for fuel pressure update when you could do it your self ! I run the 2025 tune with Mods on the Pulse

Back when a fuel sensor was not available from Quad I bought a ISOPRO sensor. I don't even remember from who it was so long ago. It did say it was for use with the Adrenaline though. I did not want to send harness back to be reworked or purchase and another sensor from Quad. Long story short I finally got around to installing it yesterday. Was no rush as the Autometer seemed to be working fine.

On the Autometer 0-15 PSI the pressure registered past 15 around where 16 would have been. Have no idea how the Autometer would react if 2 times its rating was applied to it. Now with this sender the Pulse shows 28 and 29 at idle have not had a chance to drive it yet.

Now the question which one is right? I hate to purchase a mechanical gauge for a one time use and nobody around I know has one. I am thinking 28 and 29 is to high really for my truck with light mods your thoughts? I think should get it down closer to 15 or so. Has anybody used this ISOPRO sensor with pulse did it read high for you too? To match the Autometer read would have to divide the current Pulse reading in half. I have no problem with that if indeed it is 2 times high.

Thanks for everyone's input. The Quad Adrenaline/Pulse must be doing ok for people as I have not heard to much gnashing of teeth about how it is failing right and left. I still have what feels like a miss under harder acceleration with the modified program that was supposed take care of the problem. If I accelerate only hard enough to keep from defueling it seems to not have the miss. That has been my only grumble so far.

I will tell you I tried the same sensor with bad results, lasted about three weeks. I also did not want to send everything back, so I installed the Autometer with the snubber a must. This way my eggs are not all in one basket. The Autometer is right on.
Rick

So your saying this sensor is reading to high by 2X's I kind of figured that was the case. Well since I already have this sensor installed will see how long it lasts.

Has anyone purchased the Quad sensor and wired it without return of the harness? Usually sensors are 1 or 2 wire meaning the case is ground or it has a separate ground terminal?

They will not sell the sensor by itself, my Auto meter has been right on. I may make the extra lead on Pulse as a Oil Pressure. I am now running the first Beta Tune which to me is better than the 2025G Tune.
Rick

Doesn't seem right does it? There product, they can do what they choose. If the ISOPRO goes south will try and source another sensor.

Ok guys has anybody found another source for a sensor? I had tired before to get the spec's for the sensor needed for quad before they found the sensor they are now providing. They would not share that I guess information must be proprietary!!!

tapping new pump

Ok, have not tapped this pumpfrom IInj yet. Fried computer and blew diaphram in my last. Leaving red light on level2. I have tapped this pump because I did not want to fry it. A few months back I had an eimail from quad they said it was a mandatory update. Can some one post a link, I have not done this and I read past pages and did not ya'll talking about it. Did everyone else do this.

If you dont do the update you WILL fry the box eventually. Just go to the website, call quad and have them walk you through the install. then they cant say you didnt do it or do it right.

I did the update and still have a slight miss accelerating empty and it appears associated with defueling. It does it when defueling and when reaches 0 it stops. If set on 0 it does not do it. It is not so terrible but have not pulled my 5er yet to see what that is going to be like. Wife's both knee replacement surgery over 3 months and put a crimp in my RVing right now.

Oh by the way my ISSPRO sensor still working all be it reading about twice waht it should.

Anybody else have this miss and if yes how did you correct it? Frustrating paying the bucks for this thing and have it not run right!!! I am sure when towing it going to be way worse. Read above.

What kind of miss? Did you by pass module by plugging map sensor plug from factory?
I use an autometer fuel pressure gauge that is right on the money!

Not sure how describe the miss is what it feels like or even surging. It seems to happen during the time of defueling to maintain EGT below 1300. As long as I keep foot out of it so it is not loaded much it seems ok. I am sure it will be worse towing. I have not tried it yet but will first chance I get is put it on zero and see what it does just thought of that.

Not sure what you mean bypass MAP sensor. I did install per factory directions which includes plugging into the MAP sensor plug so I am guessing the Adrenaline is controlling the MAP output.

What I meant was to drive it without it connected, plug factory map into Map. Data plug has no effect. I did find that certain Pulse settings really effect how it runs. I had a surge problem, which is like a miss and re-programmed the adrenaline and re-did Pulse settings,

what program are you running and what are Pulse settings?

Oh DUH sorry sometimes I just get a disconnect!!! No have not tried disconnecting it yet. I believe I have it programmed to 1025 currently and usually running around local have it level set for 2. When towing will up it to level 3 or 4. This weekend will be making a couple of 100 mile trip will try all levels from 0 to 9 and see how it acts. If I notice no change will try disconnecting when I get back and see what happens. No 5er but I can determine if surging or not. The last program update I did was when it was mandatory to keep it from burning up. At the time Quad told me this program had a fix for the surging.

Would a bad fuel pump tap cause it? Oh thanks for the help by the way things like this can be annoying.
