clean the contacts with alcohol. They finally have a fuel pressure transducer, but it will set you back $90 and you have to send in the adrenaline and wiring harness. WTF

Also sending in my buddies, it definetly got hot, they are really cool about getting it fixed, just wish they would figure out the hard to press buttons on the pulse. Or did they have a fix for that too?

Right now I have Adrenaline module on my bench and very frustrated. I have a new laptop with Vista Home Premium and followed the directions exactly to down load and program the module with the new tunes. It cannot find the driver for the thing!!!! I had done this on my old laptop using XP to update tune last summer and had no problem. I have an email to Quad about the problem. I may have to take out the old laptop and load program on there to program the module. Lot of people do not like Vista but I am trying to be impartial and just assuming it is just different from XP and will like it once I get used to it.
I am sure Quad will provide the answer for me but has anyone else had the problem? What did you do to solve it?
I believe you need to click the Quad logo once the updater is running to reinstall the drivers. You also need to have the dotnet 3. 5 framework installed. Do not connect the adrenaline module until after the driver is installed.
The new tune files also fixes the overheated resistor issue that seems to happen with excessive engine cranking. I believe that once the smoke get out of the box, you need to send it back for repair![]()
I've been following this thread periodically with some interest. there is a lot of potential with the Adrenaline but it seems to have more growing pains than the Smarty. I'm not concerned with top end & wire tap power but does any one think it has better throttle response than the CaTCHER programs?
If you haven't already, I would right click the Quad adrenaline update file and select "run as administrator" without the adrenaline connected.
Click the Quad logo on the updater to reinstall driver
Then connect the adrenaline.
Is there anyone near you with an XP computer you could update from ? Mine actually works from either... Vista on this one and XP on my laptop. It seems more people have trouble updating from vista.
The "pre revo" smarty shortened the throttle input signal proportionate to level. Thats why it hits so hard off idle. what should be 10% throttle the ECM sees as 25% so its just fooling the ECM to put out more earlier. Thats a gross over simplification but basically it. The problem is That is REAL hard on the auto transmission or clutches, also cruise for most was useless, as well as falling off short on top end because at 75% throttle it was already at 100% at the ECM.
Not sure how Quad does it but my truck pulls right to 4k+ without maxing-out, and my cruise works fine even on tune 2k level 10!
I think many will eventually buy both and have nearly unlimited tuning at that point.
I just sent mine in for the fuel pressure update.
Thought I'd do it before I install it so I don't have to pull it out again.
