They finally have a fuel pressure transducer, but it will set you back $90 and you have to send in the adrenaline and wiring harness. WTF

Also sending in my buddies, it definetly got hot, they are really cool about getting it fixed, just wish they would figure out the hard to press buttons on the pulse. Or did they have a fix for that too?
clean the contacts with alcohol.

Nope not gonna send back the harness there are only 2 ways a the transducer can be wired either single wire or two with one being ground. So not gonna send back ridiculous.

I was hoping to get the answer why my Vista cannot find the USB driver and consequently find the module. I was hoping to today but oh well.

Right now I have Adrenaline module on my bench and very frustrated. I have a new laptop with Vista Home Premium and followed the directions exactly to down load and program the module with the new tunes. It cannot find the driver for the thing!!!! I had done this on my old laptop using XP to update tune last summer and had no problem. I have an email to Quad about the problem. I may have to take out the old laptop and load program on there to program the module. Lot of people do not like Vista but I am trying to be impartial and just assuming it is just different from XP and will like it once I get used to it.

I am sure Quad will provide the answer for me but has anyone else had the problem? What did you do to solve it?

I believe you need to click the Quad logo once the updater is running to reinstall the drivers. You also need to have the dotnet 3. 5 framework installed. Do not connect the adrenaline module until after the driver is installed.

The new tune files also fixes the overheated resistor issue that seems to happen with excessive engine cranking. I believe that once the smoke get out of the box, you need to send it back for repair :(

I will try that and specially after Quad says they will void the warranty if the latest update is not installed.

I tried this several times and it still cannot find the drivers. I did install dotnet 3. 5 before starting.

If you haven't already, I would right click the Quad adrenaline update file and select "run as administrator" without the adrenaline connected.

Click the Quad logo on the updater to reinstall driver

Then connect the adrenaline.

Is there anyone near you with an XP computer you could update from ? Mine actually works from either... Vista on this one and XP on my laptop. It seems more people have trouble updating from vista.

I have Vista Ultimate and had no problems with the Adrenaline, Net Frame Work must be installed, and computer re-booted after. Do not plug in Adrenaline till it asks for it. My Pulse did not work until they fixed it. I sent an e-mail to Jeremy asking him why he needs the harness, and why can't we upload the software and firmware ourselves? Hell I do it with my iPhone! Better to use direct USB plug in, and not through a hub.

I've been following this thread periodically with some interest. there is a lot of potential with the Adrenaline but it seems to have more growing pains than the Smarty. I'm not concerned with top end & wire tap power but does any one think it has better throttle response than the CaTCHER programs?

I never jumped on the Catcher band wagon but can undrstand what it did. The advantage the Smarty has is the reduction inTorque Management. The Adrenaline does not alter that but you can set it with custom tuning to smack you with the wire tap as soon as you want as well as the Can fueling. It really does feel way more violent than my drag comp did if I want it to. The only thing I wish was the capability to set each level individually to be more gradual 1-10.

The Pulse custom tuning goes up to 15 levels, which will take you more gradual than setting it to ten. I sold my Smarty when I got the Adrenaline

Oh I did all you suggested. What I finally did was I had and old laptop with XP i had used to program before and used it to do this update. Jeremy said what I needed to do was monitor the device manager and when it showed the error loading the drive to right click on it and do an uninstall. Then reload again and it should correct the problem. Since I have already got the module reprogrammed using other computer and XP it will wait until the next time I need to program or update the module.

I also notice none of my displays and settings changed other than power lever returned to "O". Jeremy confirmed that was because it was an update.

I have notice the surge much improved I feel something but not sure I can call it a surge maybe over sensitive on my part. The real time for me to tell is with it under load pulling my 5er. It will be several months before that happens. It also does not defuel as much as before. Before barely touch the throttle and it would defuel now not near as sensitive and I am happy about that as I thought before it was a little extreme.

Over all I am happy with the change just frustrated could not get my Vista to work. I have about 145,000 miles and am going to change the MAP and lAT just because and clean up the old ones and keep them as spares. At that time I will be adding a fuel sender from another source; others have used, but I have heard it reads about half what it should. This is fine as long as I know it.

As for the Smarty I debated between the two pretty hard. At the time there was a whole lot of things people did not like about the Smarty and felt there was no support for the second gen's!!! So I went with Adrenaline w/Pulse. I have never used the Smarty so cannot compare but am happy with the Adrenaline.

Thanks for the help guys. Kudos again to Quad!!!

The "pre revo" smarty shortened the throttle input signal proportionate to level. Thats why it hits so hard off idle. what should be 10% throttle the ECM sees as 25% so its just fooling the ECM to put out more earlier. Thats a gross over simplification but basically it. The problem is That is REAL hard on the auto transmission or clutches, also cruise for most was useless, as well as falling off short on top end because at 75% throttle it was already at 100% at the ECM.
Not sure how Quad does it but my truck pulls right to 4k+ without maxing-out, and my cruise works fine even on tune 2k level 10!
I think many will eventually buy both and have nearly unlimited tuning at that point.

I never had a problem with cruise. It's rock steady even with #9 & all adjustments on high. It fuels strong past 3800 which is where I backed off. I'm not a racer & I'm only interested in the instant throttle response. I've got all the fueling I need with my 3. 8's & my pump is tapped with a Blue Chip APB if for some reason I want more. If I had an Adrenaline to play with I'd like to compare throttle response but it's too pricy to justify satisfying that curiosity. Lets just say I'm satisfied with the Smarty

ok so Im going on a 1200 mile trip in Feb. does anybody have any custom tunes for fuel mileage that I can try, Im ordering my adrenaline with pulse Jan. 1st, finally got the banker/warden/wife to let me get one.

I posted a list of what each Tune doers. When I asked Quad and he said it was okay to re-post. Do a search, if you can't find it, I will send it to you. I printed it and keep it above my visor.

I will look in the morning, get to finally order my adrenaline/pulse this week, was having problems with my injection pump last week so held off until I figured that out

Well I got mine back and installed it Friday. :D

All I can say is HOLY [expletive deleted ] :--) this thing fuels.

Haven't installed the fuel pressure sender yet,but it seems well made.

Need to bring the hose from the pressure port closer because the harness

is made to reach the pump and I have a FASS.

Gonna need a bigger turbo next. Oo.
