After playing with it for a while, the buttons on the Pulse, (which I wasn't impressed with immediately), have gotten even worse.

Not one of the buttons works every time I press it and to get any of them to work at all, I have to really mash it... repeatedly. Even with this extra effort, I can rarely get the bottom button to work at all. It's a real pain.

I may try clean the button pads... hopefully that'll smarten it up a bit. Otherwise I'll have to send it back, darnit.

My adrenaline works perfectly. I downloaded the latest update for the pulse and the 1015 tune. I was driving around at level 10 for a while but usually use level 1 for mileage.

The install is pretty simple. The instructions are well done and walk you right through it. There were a couple of small differences, though.

The short red wire had a loop connector instead of a fuse tap. I connected it to the post in the underhood fuse box that comes directly from the battery. Also, the instructions said that my '00 would use the triangle Datalink connector but used a flat 3 pin instead. That was no big deal since the triangle connector is just an adapter from the 3 pin.

One wee snag I had was that fuse tap for the red and white wire to the cab fuse box didn't want to seat in the fuse slot. Don't cram it in. There's are little tabs inside the fuse slot which make it too wide for the fuse tap. Just trim it off with a sharp razor.

Other than that, the Adrenaline instruction were very well done and spot on with good illustrations.

Take your time and lay everything out carefully and you'll have no problems.

Remember, there are thousands of Adrenaline/Pulse boxes out there and most are probably working with no issues.

i have had my adrenaline since monday so far i like it, my pulse should have been here today but i havent seen it yet, i downloaded the adr2025 but when i drive it it keeps kicking down one level at a time till i back out of it, i guess it is the defueling, i wish that it would stay in a little longer is there anything that i can do or is that something i can adjust with my pulse once it is on the truck, i also noticed that on the quadzilla site the updates for the adrenaline are gone are they updating the site or something

Yes it is defueling, and yes it is adjustable w/pulse.

One of the problems I had with the pulse that was not of my doing was the 3rd button down from top the one you would use to lower the power levels was very hard. When talking to Quad they was going to check it out. I was told sometimes when guys assembling they touch the circuit pads with bare fingers and that makes them operate hard. I used none lubricating contact cleaner to clean contacts helped a lot. I know you should not have to; be it is easier than returning and I bet that is what Quad does also if returned for button problems.

Thanks guys for letting me off the hook a little and just maybe it will help somebody else sometime and I did learn from it.

i orderd my pulse on monday i havent seen it yet so i called today and they are on backorder, i wanted to cry, they said it could be a week or longer i also asked about the adrenaline upgrades being gone and they sent me to tech but i was hold forever so i didnt get an awnser.

The updates were taken down as there are new ones on the way, and also custom tuning will be available for all with the pulse monitor. However the updated tunes are still not available on the site, so I am assuming there must have been some sort of glitch.

I talked to them today, they said it will be ready Monday or Tuesday. They have to do like 80 tunes & it will be a while.

The new files appear to have the same names and dates as the old ones. I downloaded the ADR2000a file and updated my pulse to 1. 3. 2. Everything seems to be working and you can set the custom tuning, but I think I'll leave it alone until I learn a little more.

I was WRONG their the same files. Just went out a tried to change things and they wouldn't save. At least I got the pulse upgraded.

I got my Pulse back today and the buttons work a whole lot better. Does everyone update there program every time a new update happens? When you do an update does it change all other, display, warnings, alerts, turbo charger saver, etc. have to redo then? As far as custom programming fuel and timing I think it is a way for me to burn up the engine!!!

I guess I am a little confused what is updated is the Adrenaline module not the Pulse module(which is the display) correct? I did notice there is a connector on the Pulse module the same as on the Adrenaline module can you program via that connection as well as the one on the Adrenaline module? I know when I was having my problem the wanted the Pulse module which surprised me I expected them to want the Adrenaline module but as you know I was wrong before.

Yes, Bob, BOTH can be updated. I run the ADR2007 tune ONLY and am happy with it. levels 4-7 lite twins well and good smoke control but can black-out at will.

Dcreed do you have fire rings on your truck or are you just going to install the stud kit and retorqe them once in a while? i have been thinking of doing mine, my 35 has been running about 45 to 50 psi i have been tweakin the screw on the wastegate vale and i cant get it down any lower.

45+ on a HX35! thats not gonna last! its also way off the compressors map! If you blow a boot youre gonna pop that thing! gate is prolly stuck shut. Think its time for a nice S300 for ya!
