I don't have a Pulse but it would appear this not only looks like one but does the very same things. Makes one wonder who's actually making it & selling it to whom.

Help!!!!

As you can read from above Pulse returned to Quad and today was my first chance to drive truck!!!

Truck started fine but had CEL light decided read and clear codes when I got home. Drove a few miles and CHECK GAUGES light lit. No oil pressure had when started so I am comfortable had pressure despite what gauge said. I have had fuel level go to zero before but when shutdown and restart it works again. I shut off truck to see if this would do it with oil pressure truck would not shutdown with key off. Drove home turned truck key off kept running and pulled big plug to Adrenaline module and truck shutdown.

Checked DTC's and had the following:

p0236 - MAP sensor too high too long.
p0238 - MAP sensor voltage too high(goes along with -0236 I think)
p0251 - Fuel Inj. pump mech. failure fuel valve feed back circuit(scary)
p0252 - Fuel inj. pump valve stuck(even more scary)
p0380 - Intake air heater relay # 1 control circuit

Cleared DTC's but p0238 will not clear so CEL stays on

Start truck zero oil pressure drive truck for a few miles to get to operating temp. During that time oil pressure comes back and CHECK GAUGES light goes out.

Notice can only build maybe 10 PSI boost. Truck really sluggish terrible!!! I have boost elbow screwed all way in should build max boost.

When got home truck shutdown normal that seems ok again. had oil pressure. Checked DTC's

p0238 still there from when not being able to cleared or still have problem. p0380 came back!!!!

I guess tomorrow try disconnecting the Adrenaline and see if anything changes? I cannot do it tonight. Any ideas from you guys as to what it can be or what else to do?

Oh forgot to add LP PSI 16, voltage steady at just below the 14 volt line; a weird thing oil pressure slowly fluctuates between about 75 to 80 down to around 50 and back up when idling.

All this from disconnecting the negative battery wires and reconnecting to replace OH console wiring harness. Disconnecting the negative battery wires supposed to prevent this right?! FRUSTRATING when it rains it pours and I have a tow in 2 weeks!!!

Sorry this is turning out to be soooooo long. I canceled some stuff so I could play more with this problem.

I disconnected the Adrenaline module and the code "p0238 MAP sensor voltage to high" now is "p0237 MAP sensor voltage to low"!!!! nether the P0237 or p0238 will clear it will be one or the other with the Adrenaline module in or out.

I am not terribly worried about the p0380 unless it somehow has to do with the other two codes somehow. I don't see how but these electronic circuits are weird sometimes. I will trouble shot that with you guys another time. I will probably for awhile disconnect the heater relays!!! Oh another thing when I plugged the Adrenaline module in the ignition came on with the key off had to unplug and plug back in so the ignition would be off with it installed.

i just installed my adrenaline and i like it but i dont love it yet. i am hoping by the time i download a differant program it will be differant, has a bad surging problem on levels 9 and 10 but everything else seems ok other than about 2100 rpm it all of the sudden kicks it seems like, but i really think that i am going to like this once i figure it all out. i have been reading this post for a long time and decided to go with the box i hope you guys are right, my pulse should be here wednesday to go with everything.

It's been about a week since I installed my Adr w/ Pulse and it's working fine. I downloaded the 1015 tunes and mostly drive on 1 or 2. No pulsing... in fact except for the inevitable cussing during the install, it's worked flawlessly.

The Pulse is a mixed blessing. The big screen size is good, the resolution is bad. At night, there seems to be a smudge or flaw behind the lcd so it looks dirty. The buttons are way too small and unreliable.

i like mine what little i have driven it, just wondering what is the most agressive but streetable tune to download, i thought the installation of the adrenaline module was pretty straight but i already had my wire tap in place from my comp other than that it was fairly simple

Okay one last thing!!! I decide this morning since none of this started happening until after I installed the OH console wiring harness I would remove it and see if it helped. I did and it did not help though I found an extra wire on the new harness than the old harness. Cut that wire at a location should I need it sometime I can solder it back together.

Ok with Adrenaline out p0237 Map sensor voltage low and by the way the Oil pressure reads a little low as well. Adrenaline in p0238 Map sensor voltage high and oil pressure reads slightly higher than normal too. Looking at the schem's it appears there is 5 volts provided from the ECM that drives the MAP sensor and oil pressure. If this is fluctuating, or high or low it would cause oil pressure reading to also change as well as the MAP sensor voltage and set codes. No one I can do an excange ECM temporary to be sure. That's to easy!!!

I am thinking this leads to a bad ECM what do you guys think? I have to try and get this fixed and I hate throwing parts at it but at a loss as to what else to do and running out of time. If you agree, where can I get a reasonable costing ECM FAST. Should I replace MAP sensor just because; same where to get one?

A couple of years ago I forund one on E-bay for $250. It would be worth checking.

Checked ECM connection by taking off us dielectric grease and put back on. While there did the same thing with all connections in that area including the Adrenaline connections. For kicks did the PCM connections also. Still have p0238 that won't clear and P0380 that will set after driving. Thanks for the help on this. I ordered MAP sensor just in case.

Be sure the connection @ ECM is solid, as some do tend to come loose. As for a MAP, I got one here: Cummins Sensors

drove the truck a little more today and on pl09 and pl10 the surging is bad, it shakes the truck to death, was wondering which update to try and download, pl08 and down all seem to be fine any advice

well i downloaded to adr2025 program and it made toe surging alot better it still does it just a we little but it is manageable, do any of you guys have any of the beta programs that you use as a daily driver i was wanting to try one the adr3000. what do you guys think

I could not find a used one on Ebay but did find from a company called AUTO COMPUTER EXCHANGE sells Factory-Rebuilt, Re manufactured Computers since 1989. With lifetime warranty with exchange and the price is about 1/2 the price of new. Unless I can find someone with a suggestion as to something else causing the problem I will purchase one. Anyone ever purchase ECM or PCM's from them?

Thanks at that kind of price I sure will search Ebay. Did you get a new one or use?

It was well used & off a wreck. That was just before they got popular with folks wanting to send them to Italy for progaming.

Ok I have apologized to Quadzilla's Jeremy McCann Tech Manager(he was very considerate and understand of a dumb customer) and now I need to you guys too. I decided this morning to take the Adrenaline out of the MAP circuit and just because check wiring. I checked wiring first and found somebody, embarrassed to say ME, left the 2 black wires in a common ring connector off the negative battery. Now we know what will happen if somebody does this, so does Quad now. I am surprised it still worked as well as it did with out a good ground reference!!! Again thanks for all the help and I APOLOGIZE again!!!!
