He he, I've got lots of stuff, but they're my toys, and I'm selfish!
Anyway, the Glock 30 is an excellent firearm. I've fired many, and other than various trigger pulls, they all shot excellent. I'm, personally, not a Glock fan. Several years ago, the Glock 22 came out, and if you read carfully, they are not to be used with high pressure ammunition. A close friend of mine had one explode in his hand. The ammo was found to blame, but it still didn't help him regain control of his hand when they got it sewn back together. Now the . 45 calibers are supposed to be fully capable of handling full pressure, +P loadings, and I've never seen or heard of any problems with them; only the 22s in . 40 S&W. For the price, he stole it, if it has the Laserlyte guide rod laser. Those list for just over $300, plus the price of the handgun. Good job!! Have fun shooting it, you'll probably love it. I don't like to carry without a hammer let down, but that's my preference. If you can find some ball loads, say 230gr FMJ target loads, or Winchester WinClean ammo, you'll probably find recoil a little more manageable. Typically, 185 JHPs are loaded a little hotter for self defense or hunting ammo, and the recoil can be, but is not always, a little hotter than plinking or target loads. Practice, practice, and congrats on getting your CCW permit.
God bless,
Casey
