I have some Maxx Links (front) on the way from Geno's so that when I change out my sway bar bushings (going with energy suspension's greasable) I can do the links too, since they have to come off anyways to get the bushings on/off.

Are the links as easy as they appear they will be? 2 bolts per link?

Any kind of set up or alingment for them or is it pretty much eye ball that everything is straight and tighten it down? Any odd tools needed? (doesnt look like it but figured I would ask).

Thanks

when I did mine the only pain to remove was a stuborn bad rusted link a blow hammer to care of that, I just cleaned up the bar really good. put everything together with out getting to tight, make sure the bar is centered and your links are vertical from the front and the sides when looking at them. after you drive for a few 100 miles recheck the bolts.

Just finished mine. No trouble front end feels great. Got mine from Geno's as well, great place to get parts. If you still have OEM you will need a hammer to get them out.

Just how much difference in ride and feel do the swaybar links make? Mine are shot on both the front and rear.

for me was more on the Freeway at higher speeds and when changing lanes due to the lift and having 37's and my oem were shot. so to me was night and day differance.

A shop that installs?

I could probably do it myself but I'm at a point in my life where I'd rather not do it myself... but it looks like an awesome system.

I have the '03 track bar mod, the steering stabilizer, Kore Recon Kit and my steering is still so so.

I'm in Sacramento and I'd go to SoCal if I had to... anybody know of a shop that installs this kit? I couldn't find anywhere on the website that indicated where they are.

Any thoughts anyone?

did my energy suspension sway bar bushing (maxx links are due in on monday).

Pretty easy install. Only think I noticed was even when the brackets are torqued all the way down, which bottoms the brackets against the frame, there is about a 1/8-1/4inch gab in the bushing where the split its. Took it for a ride and there was no noise and all seems well, just curious about the gap.

Anyone else have this?

Weren't some members here reporting failures (breakage) of these Maxx Links not too long ago?

yeah but IIRC they were ones on lifted trucks and seemed to break when they suspension was fully extended and then some, like while off roading. My truck is stock height and sees pavement about 99. 99% of the time. About the only time off road is in a corn field while hunting, no real offroading.

I'm not concerned.

Thanks for the info Dieselwrks.

Not trying to hijack this thread but my old stock link on the passenger side bumps my Luke's link. . could it be that my stock links are shot?? not sure but I had been thinking about ordering a set of the MAXX links and replacing just in case?? I have a 2" leveling kit that I installed years ago FWIW.

Maxx Links are in

Maxx links went in yesterday. Other than the passenger side, which was appearantly totally shot (the ball joint just spun and had to be cut off with a grinder) the install went quick and easy.

Noticed an immediate improvement this morning while driving to work. I have to go through a traffic roundabout and noticed less body lean with the new links.

One thing that I don't like with the Maxx-Links (rear) is that they are very rusted after one winter and not much miles...
