I just purchased a set of factory Mopar front and rear mud flaps for my 2012 3500 DRW. A search on here did not lead me to what I was wanting to know. The instructions from Dodge are very plain. Since my truck has the factory fender protector on it (front and rear have a plastic molding to protect the paint on the lower part rear half on both fenders) do I need to remove them before the install or do they go on over top of plastic? Thanks for the help/advise.

cumins01, on my 2015 i have the fender protectors and bought the mopar mudflaps. They had different part numbers for with fender flairs and without. I also had to swap the side steps (which were factory installed) drivers side to passenger side. Steps were hitting mudflaps.

Thanks Joe. I ordered the one's w/o fender flares thinking "fender flares" were like any other normal flare which I have seen on other dodge pick-ups from the factory. Did I order the wrong one's?

cumins01, I think you did. I thought like you did at first and called the dealer that I ordered the mud flaps from and he said

I needed ones for fender flairs. The mud flap wraps around the fender flair. I (hopefully) posted a picture.

Picture came up but my truck don't have flares. I only have a little plastic peice shaped like a "L" that goes about 6-8 inches up on the rear side of the fender and under the cab about 6 inches. The rear's go up just as far but the lower part extends to the bumper.

Mine don't wrap around they are just the heavy black rubber and not the form fitted one's. They look like a standard rubber mud flap. Anyone else with some insite?

cumins01, on my 2011 Bighorn, there was something there that I removed. It did not have fender flairs. I could not find the pieces that I removed or the Mopar installation instructions. It's been several years.

Please reply back with the part numbers of your mud flaps.

Anyone have pics of the husky flaps (genos) with fender flairs? Search yield nothing. Would like to compare to the mopar molded type.

Also, I read somewhere some won't fit with Mopar running boards. Can't find that either..time for bed i guess.
