I recently had the truck at the local dealer to do the EGR cleanup due at 67.5
When I picked up the truck the "Perform Service" in the EVIC was still on so I asked the service advisor if he could reset it. The guy was obviously clueless since his question was "Have you recently changed oil?"...
Long story short is that while he was fizzling with the pedals he did the "oil change" reset pedal combination. Eventually he called a tech who did the correct sequence and the "Perform Service" went off .
The question I have is whether doing the "oil reset" pedal combination (3 times gas pedal) when the message in EVIC is not on would result in resetting the background counter. This is a 2012 so I have the older EVIC screen.
