Time for a transmission job....

What transmission do I have and how much oil?

Installed a fan clutch couple of days ago and drove fine to work. On the way home truck started heating up and trans stopped going past 3rd. Babied truck home and put it in park. Truck kicked high idle like it was cold out and wouldn't kick down so I shut it off to keep it from hearing up more. Now truck is showing 3 codes. P0107 P0642 P1749. Tried clearing with edge and didn't work. Changed blown fan fuse after figuring out fan got tangled in clutch harness and untangled and corrected harness positioning. Now it's like codes won't clear. All other fuses are good under engine bay. What else should I check for?

Which fuse was blown and replaced?
Apparently the tangled harness created a short circuit some where and hence got P0107, P0642 and P1749, all sensor circuit low.
Guess a 5V power supply in ECM was shut down due to the short.

Are you sure the harness is still good electrically?
Try to run it with the harness disconnected to see if those codes goes away. You are going to have fan clutch codes pop up that's related to the disconnected harness.

not sure on what fuse it was. It was on the bottom row last one closest to the bumper? said something about fan in the fuse panel. I'm sorry at work and I forgot which one I pulled. But smart thinking I never thought about pulling the harness and running it. It said something about low voltage and after driving it fan is coming on, but the truck wont go past 3rd gear and its taking longer to change gears(going higher rpms before shifting). I will confirm when I get home and get my eyes on it!

Figured it out! When harness got wrapped up in fan it stripped harness wires just enough to where they were grounding on bracket and I didn't see it. After fixing had to wait the 3 key cycles for truck to self clear the codes and it's back to normal!
