Hello.

When you search for wiper blades on a 1997 Truck, you get 20". Now i have about 22" inch, and i do not want to have smaler. Maybe som bigger.

What did most people use?

Im from Sweden so i buy most parts to my truck from internet based stores.
I shall now order some parts from rock auto, and wonder if someone knows a part number for som quality baldes that fit my 1997 truck. Bigger than the 20" inch i get when i search parts based on my truck, on rockauto.

Thanks

My truck, 2002, came brand new with 22inch blades. But, several years ago, when I asked for the oem size, the stores all say 20inch which is too small. So, I just buy 22in blades for both sides. Sometimes trico, other times bosch.

I have tried both 20 in. and 22 in. on my 2002 and without question the 20 in. work better, the 22 in. may move more real estate but the 20 in. sit tight to the window and cleans well. The 22 in. wipers I had to use with Rain X, with the 20 in. I have stopped using Rain X.

I havent had that experience. However, tend to use the more expensive wiper blades. Usually trico or bosch. BTW, I will never use rainx again. After a while it fogs up. And then I cant get it off. I just keep my winshild clean. Hit it every once and a while with bon ami and some 4/0 steel wool. Clean as a whisle.

I have used 19 inch, 20 inch and 21 inch blades on my 1996. The 21 inch blades seem almost too long at times. But slightly too short blades are better than bad blades. On the other hand, it has been over a year since I have driven in any rain.

I'm currently doing a product durability test on a set of Sil Blades .Ok it took me 3 sets that would work correctly I think my windshield has a slight distortion as the drivers side wiper on two of their blade designs would not touch the glass all the way across. Their Beam type and standard both would not work correctly . the Uni blade seems to work quite well. SilBlade claims 5 year life on their products so far 6 months and they are still as good as a set of new Bosch Ion that I'd only get 4 months out of before they would steak. Time will tell. Oh I also run a set of 22" they clear more window better to see with.

I used 2 sets of the Michelin blades on my old ‘05. The first set worked well but the plastic covers on the ends fell off. The second set worked better.
Can’t find them anymore around here.

Michelin I believe that's what I get.
For Mule I get the expensive one's plastic holder. For Moose I get Metal backed ones because the plastic backed ones are to thick to fit on the rod ( the peg/ metal protrusion ) . The metal ones are thinner. Mule apparently has longer peg
