Traveling yesterday my DEF was down to 1/8th tank so I found a Loves Truck Stop with DEF at the pump. At first, I thought they didn't have it. I kept looking for a blue pump handle but couldn't find it. The pump said DEF and had a button to push but no nozzle. I thought maybe only a couple pumps had it but a mechanic told me all the pumps have it. It's behind a covered compartment on the pump. I guess it's because DEF is so caustic. Good thing was the nozzle and handle were clean. I have read posts where some complained on trips about buying DEF at the pump because the nozzle was extremely dirty. Maybe Loves has the fix.

It’s behind a closed door so you have to make a conscious decision to pump def. Too many preoccupied people have pumped def into their fuel tank.

DEF is not caustic. At all. It’s pH is neutral. It can corrode carbon steel after prolonged exposure. It is not harmful and will not eat your hand off. Pump DEF and box DEF is all exactly the same product.

I've never been able to make DEF at the pump work. I can't figure out whether or not I need some adapter ring around my DEF tube to make it work. 2015 Ram 2500.

you have to go really slow...first click...and not insert the nozzle all the way...maybe 1/2 inch from all the way in so the air can get out. I have the magnetic adapter ring, but never had to use it yet.

Oddly enough the Cab & Chassis trucks seem to have their DEF tanks vented. I can fill my 4500 more completely and in less time than I could my 3500 pickup.......and my 4500 has a bigger DEF tank.

Been using Love's DEF at the pump for two years now with no problems. I read some posts here and when people say PUMP S L O W L Y,,, they really mean it. Once I got used to that I have not had any problems or splash back. Paying $2.70 / gallon at the pump sure beats paying $12.50+ for a 2.5 gallon jug.
Just remember to to not fully insert the nozzle and to pump s l o w l y. <LOL>
