Change of subject, how do you fold these mirrors out for towing? I sure hope they do.

Unless they offered power flip.... Can’t remember if they offered that on the 19s. I know the new ‘20 GM trucks and Ford has that as an option.

Does your window sticker indicate tow mirrors? They should just flip up into "Bullwinkle mode".

Oops, too slow on the draw. Glad you got them going.

In the OP’s defense, he doesn’t have huge tires, a stack through the bed, and isn’t “rolling coal” with his mirrors flipped out and no trailer. The requirements may also list a few empty beer cans in the bed as well. Not sure.

i drive with the mirrors out. because i can see better. there are a few clowns in older ram/dodges around here with the stack, balloons for tires etc. - they roll coal to the point where you have to drive through a 1/4 mile of soot cloud on some occasions. its just stupid. however, if they choke a few lance armstrong cyclists then i dont mind their stupidity as much....cheers comrades!

Don't forget the flat bill lid and white sunglasses

For me when not towing, I prefer the closed position, I have them set up pretty well for my use. It's a pain for me with the non-memory mirrors to get them back adjusted for some reason, user error most likely.

I don't like the field of view, truck empty, with them up.

When I got my 07 with the B&W bed, my SIL made wise cracks about me having them out. UNTIL he drove it, I got it back with the mirrors out. You couldn’t see around the wide bed, but with the SRW, I didn’t even think of it until curiosity got me.

I wonder if I can fit Bullwinkle on a specialized lic. Plate. :D:D:D:D:D Hummm

On the way home from Colorado when the truck was new, in Boise, Id I changed lines on a little car in the passengers side blind spot, so at the next truck stop I found these little mirrors and added them to the mirror arms.

I only run 'antlers up' when towing, and yes they work much better when up.

I have a hard time driving the newer trucks because of the funky spot mirror. It is not a true convex so the field of view is small. My small convex on my 2nd gen have a bigger view.

Has anyone found an adapter with better fit? Kind of a thin line between a good fix and having the adapter getting stuck in the receiver. The other area is the 2" insert fit being loose in the adapter. I find that the adapter that came with the truck is loose in both areas. SnoKing

Looks like B&W makes one, give em a call.
