Yes, back by the rear axle. That seems fairly easy to get to from laying on your back. Wish the other fuel and oil filter were so easy to get to. Still scratching my head on the oil filter as well. Must be contortionists that come up with these locations.

You beat me to it. I found it also. And that is basically the way I do it with leaving the little metal tube in place and just removing the hose from the lower end. When reinstalling the air box to turbo, be sure to clock it top towards the engine at the turbo inlet so it does not rub on the intercooler hose. Booze bottle screws right into the valve cover as a funnel.

Thanks for the clarification. I thought it may have been a fantastic home remedy for an engine block cleaner vs. the likes of seafoam, or whatever that stuff some people feed their engines to help lighten their wallet's overloaded condition. Or, what's good for the driver is good for the truck? Great repurposing idea!

This makes an oil change a snap, no muss no fuss:

Unscrew filter, let it sit straight down, screw doohicky on top, pull out. Fill new filter up, screw doohicky on, slide in, turn up, remove doohicky, screw filter on. Done

I could be wrong but it looks like you would remove the SS band and the one on the turbo and remove the big hose??????

I don't remove the air filter housing.

That is crazy cluttered. But it looks like they are accommodating the higher airflow for that larger turbo??

Another thing to check on your 2019 is if they still install the block heater on the CGI block at the factory. Ours on the cast iron block is near (if I remember correctly below and behind) the oil filter mount. If you didn't get the cold weather PKG, you can buy the cord and install the cord if the block heater is where the freeze plugs typically are. If your temps never reach zero, it wouldn't be necessary.

Us Cab n Chassis guys have a straight drop down for the oil filter, we're smarter, and better looking.

I helped a friend change the oil filter on his 2500 through the fender liner... easy peasie.
