New Injectors or Rebuild ??

Cylinder scoring options?

2004.5 5.9L Ram 2500 surging above 2500 and does NOT return to idle

I can't decide which way to go on my injectors. Do I fork over the insane amount of money for 6 new injectors or do I find a reputable shop to rebuild my current injectors?
The price of new injectors are silly high to me. Or I could spend $35 each to test out my current injectors.
I'd prefer to buy new as the motor the injectors came out of was a blown motor and from the way the top of the cylinder heads looked, they were bad.
 
The electrical side hardly ever fails. New nozzles are fine unless it is an early 2003-2004 that did not have the hardened ball seat. When I was still working we sent hundreds of injectors out for testing. No need to replace if they are still working correctly.
 
Testing tells you if they are bad at that exact moment. No warranty they will last 6 seconds in the engine after testing. If they are 100K plus mile injectors with unknown filtration the risk isn't worth it. Frugal is a good rebuilt set and the best is new. No start due to high return rates is annoying, but, stuck open engine meltdown will ruin your day.

When I had my engine rebuilt they required testing to have a warranty on the engine. They tested fine. 25K miles or less later, after testing, with around 125K on the truck one simply quit firing and another had high return rates. I dropped in a NEW set of BBi injectors. I got real tired of places trying to cater to C H E A P and selling junk. Esp. after paying 10K to rebuild an engine to risk a rebuilt POS injector burning it down.
 
Not to hijack here but don't want to add a new thread for what in can ask here. If a person was to get remans are BBI remans the cream of the crop on rebuild injectors also ?
 
my injectors lasted over 400k had them rebuilt by an bosch shop got about 70k on the rebuilds and they run as good as when new
