Happy to share my experience, I will say for hard off road use the Thuren arms are much more durable then Metalcloak but I don't feel you would benefit from the added strength for the cost. Out of curiosity where are you located? I know may shops around the states that I would reccomend depending on location.
Norwalk, CT. I have decided on Heavy's Automotive shop for the clutch ( still original with 200k ) when it goes per a good conversation with the owner who was very knowledgeable. But that is over an hour away from home.

Ah ya I got nothing there, I thought you might have been in TX for some reason.

I see that Thuren arms 0.5" longer. Does this make an appreciable difference ? I see that Thuren lower arms are twice as thick as Metalcloak ( 3/8" wall vs 3/16" ). Don't see a benefit here to on-road use, but it is interesting to note.

It does make a diffence and you will find every aftermarket extended arm should be the same as the arm length is determined by clearance at full suspension compression. Any longer then 1/2" and the diff cover will hit the track bar, coil spring bucket will hit the track bar mount and so on, very tight clearances at full compression so the arms can only be so long.

The Thuren arms are probably the strongest ones out there in close competition with Carli but as you noted there is really no benefit for on road use in your application.
