Cooper makes them.Mastercraft? Never heard them. Guessing Chinese made, no thanks. Cooper makes good tires.
I am loving my Cooper ST Maxx (not the ST Pro) … they are an extremely rugged tire, well suited for the weight of my 2005 truck and the pesspoor roads that I have to drive. They have been manufactured for a LONG time and LOTS of reviews from overlanders who use them in all sorts of international terrain with excellent results and wear mileage. Tread is similar to the newer Cooper RT and NOT as aggressive as the ST Pro.
My apologies for the delay in posting. My wife had a serious health issue and my priorities changed. I decided on the Cooper Discoverer HT3's. I don't go off road and this truck spends most of it's life towing a 10,000 lb. travel trailer. I won't miss the noise of the Falken tires and I suspect my fuel mileage may even improve. Time will tell. They are being installed tomorrow and I'll update everyone after I take them on my first trip later this month.
He's too confused to pick one now .![]()
if a person desires clarity, they shouldn't go to the internet for advice.
For instance, has the internet ever came to a consensus on what oil was best.![]()
Well there is one on here that definitely knows what oil is best , just ask .![]()
I use whatever's on sale and is Cummins approved.I suspect there is more than one that knows and I am smart enough so I don't dare ask.. LOL.
Does that include balance too?4 Goodyear Duratrac RT are $1900 mounted balanced 50 k mileage warranty once a year tire rotation In Alaska
The whole thing plus free rotating once a year for life of the tire. $475 a tire but they are about $375 each to buy on Amazon. But they were not available and are being shipped from Seattle It’s the cost of living in Alaska very normal to pay a bit more we are used to it. The cost of living in the Greatland
I have ran two sets of these, one back on my 05 is 255/80R17 and now in 275/70R18 on my 22 for hunting season.
They are a great dirt road tire, but seem to hard of a compound for nasty dirt roads as they cut and chunk off very easily.
I had also forgotten how horrible they are on ice, also due to the hard rubber, even thou my current set is studded.
I’ve also not been overly impressed with their wear rate, but they see a lot of towing and dirt road towing.
My next set of hunting tires will not be ST Maxx’s, but rather something more aggressive with a 3PMSF rating as the softer rubber does better on sharp rocks and snow/ice.
