    buying new 04.5 have ??

04.5 I got 04. 5 4x4 SWR and 36' Open Road 5th wheel (13,000lbs. ). Be sure to back the truck under the trailer before you make any changes. I had to have trailer raised by lift kit as many give no clearance. Had 1" clearance now have 8" clearance. Heard of someone leave dealer with 3"...

    Level the truck

Level 5th wheel We had to have the 5th wheel raised. Open Road makes I-beam attachment the gives 8 inches clearance. Dodge had heart attack when I asked them to change truck level as they said drive lines would be strained. Other RVer's having same problem.

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission catalitic converter?

I was told that taking it off in Colorado was a huge fine. Exhaust Pro's won't even consider it as they say oxygen sensors are fore and aft and would screw up computer along with breaking state law.

    Detectable chips: yes or no?

Are Edge chips (and banks, etc. ) detectable or not? I get conflicting answers. I am looking for those who have experience in chipping and then having maintinence or repairs (warrany or not done). Not a mechanic so pleae keep it simple.

I thought 6% was tough until I found a 16% grade in Canada. Weird expressions on the faces of those coming down.

I have 04. 5. What is silencer ring? Does it effect only sound or mileage / power also? Why remove it? I am new to this... be gentle. Also would like best guages to get along with best reccommended chip. Tow large 5th wheel many milesper year. Any advise? What else should I do?
