Hey Bullet, Same here. . been doin' it since it was new. I remember living in the midwest and seein' the big rigs startup on cold winter mornings and smokin' white till they warmed up then all was fine. I've convinced myself it's normal and hope i'm thinkin' right if not someone will chime in...
Hey Eric, Welcome aboard! Was your nose twitchin' cause of the name droppin' goin' on 'round here??? :) BTW, Thanks for the great addition to the truck... I couldn't be happier. Oo. The install was simple and quick. Left you at the warehouse went straight home and had it installed before...
When everythings installed I just bump the starter and listen for the LP to cycle. . takes about 20sec or so to complete. Do this 3 or 4 times and it should fire up.
I'm getting great results here also... 15psi gauge buried at idle... 13. 5 at 70mph and can't get it to go below 12. 5 WOT. I'm a rookie with minimal tools and it only took me 90mins from popin' the hood to test drive! I put in the anodized kit cause it has the 1/8 tap and the snubber went right...
Bob, If you want to drive it again......
Bob and Marco, Just thought I'd jump in here and mention I'm dealin' with the same surge issue and I'll offer up the truck for a "see it for yourself" drive if you want. Unloaded it's most noticable going up Tiger Mt. but with the 5th wheel on the back...
Hey thanks JCyrbok, I didn't even think of Summit. But anyway I think I got it solved and I'll be callin' Summit in the morning to see if they can help with the other fitting I need. Thanks again, I know I can always count on someone around here to help kickstart my brain when it quits thinkin'...
Hello All, I hope I got this in the right thread?? I'm on a project and need the stock fuel lines for the '02 lift pump and I was wondering if anyone out there has upgraded and still has the old lines and banjo bolts they would be willing to part with. I just need the parts associated directly...
Thanks Thomas, ya got a newbie here and I didn't even think of the search on this site, used google and could only find them listed on a little japanese car website and wasn't sure if they were universal... I think it's safe to assume they are. Thanks again , Kampinkid
Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor: used on ISB diesel for electronic throttle control(A. P. P. S. ) As far as resetting, you might try doing a search for "resetting apps" and get the info from the pros. I'm not sure of the sequence and wouldn't want to give you the wrong info.
Check out the Holley Blue thread. It's been posted that you can find this pump at Autozone or you'll find a link to get one online. Sounds like the Black one has a lifetime warranty.
autometer FP guage...
Don't know 'bout the electric gauges, but I'm running the AutoMeter Industrial(sold under the name AMI) and this gauge sure gives a solid reading. I have an isolator and a snubber in the line and it's connected directly to the VP44. I installed it under the dash so I can...
Thanks for all the info............
I just wanted to say thanks and that I have decided to go with the rubber fuel line(I even found most of the stuff in the garage) and ditch the Schrader valve , suppose I can always put it back in if I have to. I also have to say that I've found TDR to be...
Hello,
I'm about to install an Autometer 0-15psi gauge and oversized banjo bolts and can I get by using 1/4" rubber line and some quality barbs and clamps from the pump to the isolator or is it necessary to use the braided high pressure line?? I see the line from the lift pump to the filter is...
