I changed the alternator pulley also for the same reasons. Supposedly the sudden stop when turning the truck off can make the belt jump a groove. The over running/clutch pulley is supposed to eliminate this. Been on for 5k miles with no issues. Seems to be working being I couldn't go 3k miles...
Let the dealer hook a DRB to it and look at what is going on. They can watch command RP versus actual RP. This will eliminate any questions on the fca or relief valve.
Just put a 62/13/71ss on mine this week. Had a 62/12/65 on it prior. The spool up is a little slower to 10lbs of boost than the 62/12 but then it takes off. Cruising temps are about 100* higher as well but under WOT the egt's are lower. I would say you would be happy with either. If I towed all...
Just put Bilstein 5100's on the front of mine. They are a major improvement, still firm but not as harsh on rough roads. Got mine from Genos.

These are the silver and black model.
For towing any of the 62's with a 65 exhaust wheel are going to be the best bet. They will spool quick with low egts. Don't let the small size fool you. Considering a stocker is a 57, it is a huge jump in performance as well. My factory clutch held fine with the smarty until my htt62/12 was...
What size injectors are needed before aftermarket injector download is needed. I'm running flux 1's. Are these large enough to need reduced timing or still close enough to stock it isn't needed. Want the most timing I can handle safely. Can Bob or Marco please chime in on this. I have asked it...
I think betterthanstock might be on the right track. the intake air temp sensor and boost/map sensor(both on the intake manifold)work together based on air temp /barometric pressure. The inlet air temp sensor(on the air filter housing) also looks at temp and barometric pressures. Don't know how...
I had a similar problem with an edge ez on my 01 3500. Cold mornings it might work, might not. Could drive for 10 minutes and turn truck off and start back up and it would be working, other mornings it might take 50 miles with several off-ons to get it working. Went through this for a whole...
wild and mild rails?Which is better suited for what. Wil be going to towing twins soon and posible change over to smarty/tst/mp-8 stack. Looking to build the ultimate tow rig with a few runs down the strip thrown in here and there. Definitely not trying to break any HP records but don't want to...
will there be any adverse affects? I tow alot and don't want any mods that are going to create problems. This seems like a fairly good price for 30-60hp gain. Also has this debate over the rails being coated(inside) come to any conclusion?
Is anyone running one. Are they worth the $$$. Just curious about this. There doesn't seem to be too many post about this. What are the plus and minuses of it?
