3rd Gen Blend Door issue. Grab a club cause we are beating this dead horse!

I had the same problem on my ‘03... only my wife knew the problem and yes, she was not happy. I pulled the dash and installed pricey Blend Door USA doors. NONE of my OEM doors were broken but figured I would replace them with bulletproof doors since it was apart. Also checked all the actuators...

    Cruise control issue

My 3rd Gen (2003) has vacuum line. Mine got terribly brittle and fell to pieces so I replaced it temporarily with some tubing I had out in the shed. It works again but I think the larger diameter tube allows the truck to vary the speed more than it used to. Anyway, at least some 3rd gens have...

Mounting my GPS in my 08

Just a thought, you might look at the dash pods or pillar mounts for Edge CTS. I also have a Nuvi and it looks about the same size but I haven't checked out specs yet. I just use the suction cup as I change vehicles quite a bit. I just looked but it looks like the pillar pod for CTS is currently...

Archived WCM cause truck to die??

DieselLady - No such thing as dumb questions, we're here to learn and pass on what we can... I didn't have a clue, had to look around but this is what I found searching here and other forums... . The WCM (Wireless Control Module) is also referred to as the Sentry Key Remote Entry...

    Archived Truck stuck in park

If you pop the selector down to where the electronics thinks it is in Neutral, will it fool the system and let it start? Be careful trying this, it will actually be starting "in gear" and if it works you could jump into a wall. Of course this isn't a fix but it might get you down the road.

    Take a break

Don't mind at all. I live in Pinedale. My Uncle had two ranches in the county, one just outside Pinedale and the other was down at Boulder about 4 miles out the Boulder Highway (WY 353). That was the first place I chased cows, put up hay, branded, etc. I grew up as a Marine dependant, I also...

    Dodge 1/2 ton

Yeah, this thing's got a Hemi! Truck in photo is a 2009 Ram 1500, yeah it's got a Hemi! It has a few obvious cosmetic alterations and accessories. It has 80k miles and has had surprisingly few problems. As you can imagine, this thing covers a wide variety of roads, terrain, road and weather...

    Take a break

Looks like it could be here too - the landscape is a little different but the people are the same. Some even look a little familiar! The best part is, this looks like just the "medicine" that JJ and his family need. Good to see that he's planning on getting outa that ratrace. Wes

    leaking steering box

X2 on what AEdelheit says - I replaced mine a year and a half ago and installed a BD brace from Genos. It will probably last much longer with the bracethan the original but wish that I had the new beefier box. Worth a search for the write up.

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting Mounting a Side Saddle on a Remington 870, 12 ga.

Loctite 242 is the regular blue "medium strength" threadlocker. They also make Loctite 243 which is their blue "removable" threadlocker which sounds more like what you want. As mentioned above and in your other post, a dab of nail polish would probably suffice. Be careful torquing those screws -...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) torque lock&unlock, any one sure fix?

So is the installation of the BD "noise filter" on my '03 that seems to have cured my problem just a temporary fix? Don't get me wrong - the $23. 75 was well worth the diagnosis and I'm willing to spend the time re-routing the wiring if needed. (this refers to my recent post titled " '03 Surge...

Archived NEED HELP HAVING FUEL TROUBLES Redding Ca

Just curious - was the delivery tanker still there when you filled up in Yuma? If he was still dumping into the tank he could have been stirring up the crap on the bottom of the tank. If I see a delivery tanker at the station I stay away. Simplysmn, I know this is no help to you now but...

'03 Surge, lope, pulse, buck, bounce, oscillate... uphill with load

Okay guys, I've got one more question about this. The reason I got it in my mind that it wasn't TC lock/unlock is because I was picturing the lock/unlock as a shift, something substantial that you would hear and feel, you know - like when the transmission shifts gears. I just got to wondering, is the...

'03 Surge, lope, pulse, buck, bounce, oscillate... uphill with load

Looks like a cure!!!! Alright folks, I'm resurrecting this post from last year to update and thank y'all for the replies... Due to other things happening with the family I hadn't had a chance to really attack the above problem until recently. Just to clarify one thing about my tach reading...

    03-08 steering box upgrade

I love the thought of the new, beefier box and components but would hate to lose the stability that my BD stabilizer provided after installing a rebuilt box. Isn't part of the inherent problem in the steering due to the sideways flex in the frame? It seems to me that the new box, although...
