2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 02>03 Track Bar Conversation;Problem?

Installed the 03 Track bar conversion Bracket and 03 Bar in 02 4x4.



Drives GREAT!!!!! But I got a ' CLUNK'



When turning wheels hard from side to side ( like backing from driveway )

or 'not moving' I get a 'CLUNK'.

I have checked everything, nothing looks to be hitting.



Anyone else have this occur???

I had similar situation. Had a friend turn the wheel while I was underneath. Tracked down the noise more by feel than sound as I could barely hear it with the engine running underneath there. For me it turned out to be the pass side bolt. I am sure I had it torqued to spec but nonetheless cranked it just a bit more and no more noise in over 100k.

If it wasn't there before, like BarryG, I'd go over all the fasteners - first off have someone turn the steering wheel side to side as you lay under the front end and look at everything - make sure you also look at the sector shaft (comes out of the bottom of the steering box) for side to side deviation as it rotates.
