Satellite Meters/Finders....are they worth it?

Honda EU2000 ??

I just read all the stock hitch stuff and I can only hope that Dodge has upgraded the hitch for the 04. 5 model ?

My question is can I put on a new hitch bar that is 8 inches longer than my stock one ?

I need the extra clearance to open my camper shell door with the trailer hooked up.

With that extra leverage from the longer bar tweak or tear off the dodge receiver ?

The extenderwill lower the capacity of the hitch by as much as 50% depending on how long of an extension... . The second to the lowest hyperlink says a 10" is 3500# and 300# TW.

click on this link ... Here is a 7" extender for $40

Here is a 12" extender for $29 ... . seems a little cheap to me though

Here is a 10" extension for $46... . Seems a little better quality... scro,, about half-way down.....

All these do lower the carry capacity..... The last one lists 3500# trailer and 300# TW. Hope this helps your search.

When I got my first camper, I was towing a small dune buggy, 3 quads and a bunch of firewood on a 16ft flatbed tandem trailer. That was on an extension that was 40" long. I have a Super Hitch now cuz I've got an enclosed 25ft trailer. Unless your towing something really tounge heavy I don't think you would have any problem with an 8" extension..... Good luck, Jim
