That's Right!

I talked with Butch at Diesel Thunder and he said he found out a dealer in North Idaho (hint: who claims to be the largest seller of Dodge Trucks) was selling California certified trucks! He went to his regional rep and hammered on him!

Butch now has California Certified Trucks at $1,000 off Dealer invoice plus you still get the rebates & regional discounts!

Ask for Butch at Dishman Dodge in Spokane. You have to tell him, "Big Bob" sent you in order to get the deal!

Here is his email address : -- email address removed --

His phone number is 800-457-6500.

I am not affliated with Dishman Dodge in anyway, just passing on a great deal!

Tomeygun, you might have to go talk to your Rep!

Big Bob.....

I've bought from them in the past... and my son just picked up a new truck 2 weeks ago... we used Rob Crosswhite... and found him to very nice to deal with... I've been in the store at least 20 times... . I sell them a few things... . and can't say I met anyone there that rubbed me wrong... .

I've also delt with the guys in Idaho... . know some of them as well... . they also are great people to deal with... . I'm guessing that we have maybe the best deal in the country just a short distance away... .

I almost bought a home in Post Falls... its a great community... .

Is this on 2004. 5's only, or does it include 2005's?

tschwab,

This includes all new trucks ordered. Yes 05's! :D You can not purchase a truck on the lot and get this price.

I talked with Butch on Saturday, he said that he is selling alot of California Certified Truck!

This special pricing is still valid!

Your not kidding! that sticks,

When I get to work monday, I am calling her and not taking no for an answer

CA buyers, I bought mine from the Idaho dealer and all went well. Here's a few pointers about buying out of state and registering in CA. You will pay the full CA sales tax (8. 25% in LA county, 7. 75% in others) and the registration fee, partially based on weight, the total of these for me was $3641 based on unladen weight of 7520#. Be sure to take a CA certified weight ticket (available from most truck stops) to DMV, they will not accept the shipping weight from your invoice. CA DMV does not like registering new out of state vehicles and check the smog certification very carefully, you must have the "CARB" designation on the engine, and the certificate stating "THIS VEHICLE IS CERTIFIED FOR SALE IN CALIFORNIA". If you don't have these you're out of luck. Also, you must present the vehicle for a DMV inspection, and cannot register via AAA or any other independant agent. The only way to save on these is to register out of state by registering to an LLC. Many buyers of motor homes are doing this in Montana, no sales tax and low registration fees. I was considering this when I wanted the HO engine before they were legal here, but didn't bother after the 600 was released for all 50 states. FYI, an LLC costs about $800 to set up.

Hope this helps future CA buyers,

-George-

Right On! This is great news! So much for Dodge trying to keep it quiet! :D

There is a sucker born every minute..... Invoice does not mean that is what the dealer is paying for the truck... . No matter what price you pay they are still making 30% on the sale. Just a gimick to get you to buy... .

30%!!?? Some people open their mouth before putting their brain in gear!

Sorry guys, some people just don't think! :-laf :-laf :-laf

I'm not saying the dealer isn't making any money, but now 30%. They do get a refund (hold back) from DC on each vehicle, on a CTD it is usually about $1,200 to $1,400. This is where the dealer will make his profit on these special deals.

TomeyGun, correct me if I am wrong. That's the way it was explained to me. Oh, by the way TomeyGun, how do you like making 30% one each truck you sell! :-laf :-laf :-laf

Well, to make a point, lets do the math... .

I sell a truck for $30,000 after all discounts... So lets use that 30% figure, that means I make $9000. 00 --- Now as a salesman, I make 28% of gross profit... $9000x. 28 = $2520. 00

SO, on my best month I delivered 22 trucks, So by "Murles" math, I made $55440. 00 that month... Wow, i should be living a lot better!

DO YOU SEE A VIPER IN MY SIGNATURE ?!?!? -- NO!

Trust me, dealers have holdback, stair-step money, and dealercash (and a few others, but you get the point) --- But all that never, ever adds up to 30% profit on each deal

Come on guys... do you really think the owner is going to tell his salesman how much he really makes off of the truck..... Wake up to the real world. Like I said before INVOICE us NOT what the dealership pays for the truck. So don't give me this crap about 1000. 00 off of invoice. Go advertise your truck sales somewhere else. :D

By the way, no body said that invoice is what the dealer pays for the truck after all the back-end junk is taken off... . Where did you ever get that???

And the $1000 +/- off invoice, why is that "crap" as you call it?... And why does it sell so many trucks??? Maybe people like the idea of upfront pricing, heck there is a lot of people that sure do like that "crap" that me and Butch pull, huh?? A sale that is proportionate to invoice, nothing more, nothing less

OHH, and by the way, before you spout you mouth off about the owner not telling us salesmen what they made... I did the financial statements for years 1997-1999... So I'd think I'd know (its not like the DC pays LOU FUSZ directly, IF DC paided us, I knew about it)

ON EDIT - I forgot, I better check my viper that is on order, seeing as I sold a few more trucks today :-laf
