There is a new contact at Dishman Dodge. Richard Bowman is now handling all of the Big Bob deals. It's a minimum of $1,000 off Dealer Invoice plus you still get all the rebates and discounts. Don't forget to ask for the "Big Bob" deal.

Call Richard at 877-568-3363 if you are interested.

I think I'm missing something, Are CA trucks better? I do know from looking at the FSM that they have more diagnostic capability and detect other problem( such as stuck injecters) that the 49 states truck can't.

BTW Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.

From what I understand, CA trucks are all tested for emissions, where as the federal trucks are like 1 out of 100 trucks are tested for proper emissions

But they are exactly the same in terms of HP, etc

:{ After working with Richard Bowman on a special order 2500 reg. cab 4x4 CTD,I received a call from him today saying DC wouldn't backup my mounting my 1800 lb popup camper on this configuration. Apparently it's over the weight limit w/CTD. :( They would approve the application of the camper w/Hemi engine due to its lighter weight. The other option is to go to the 3500 dually. NOT! So back to the drawing board. I can't recommend the services of Richard Bowman enough! He's knowledgable and low pressure and my local friend here in San Diego had great luck with them. Picked him up at the airport, gave him the keys and said"drive it and make sure everthing's right" Got him out of there in no time. 14,000 miles and no problems yet w/mucho Mex. diesel. I just don't need a 3500 quad cab lwb as it's just the wife and I. Chryslers' choking. It would probably work out fine but in the event of frame damage on one of my Mexico trips they'd probably deny my claim. Sucks.

Something's wrong!

Here is Dodge tow capacity site, put in your vehicle spec's and the CTD GCVW and payloads are more that the Hemi's.

Dodge Tow Guide

Have Richard check it out again.

Thanks Bob. I got on the site and it states a #2280 payload. My camper wet without extra gear is #1800 which leaves only #75 after the weight of my spouse and myself. Not a lot of slop there. I'm going to call Richard tomorrow and discuss it with him. I'll see if there's a technical hotline i can call for a D/C rep. I plan on taking the vehicle on some pretty rough roads and am concerned w/frame torsional damage. These are approx. the same figures I've been using w/my '99 but no D/C warning my year.

Bajabob, the single rear wheel 3500 I looked at this weekend has the slip in the glovebox saying it supported 1950 lb camper. THis was on a 2wd 6 speed.

Not that much price difference over the 2500, and I hear the 3500 rides better empty.

3500 Reg.Cab?

Why can't you order a reg cab 3500?

:{ You can't order one. They don't exist. I spoke again to Richard Bowman at Dishman today and Chrysler's doing all they can to discourage srw slide-in applications. Richard dialed in a 3500 quad cab srw and the payload package is way up there. Upon consulting the slide-in application book,lo and behold,my #1800 camper is not supported by Chrysler! He stated that he had to buy back an '05 3500 srw w/3,000 miles on it that the customer intended to use for slide-in application! Training classes for salesmen now include the warning that drw now must be used. I'm sure the trucks will do fine but sounds like another case of "you are your own warranty station". Mr. Bowman says he's been battling this situation out w/Chrysler forever! This guy's gone out of his way to help me but Chrysler's got his hands tied.

For those TDR members that are closer to STL,MO:

If anyones want a quote just to beat up the local dealer, thats cool, just PM me and I can send you a signed spec sheet, etc - Works wonders when proving what other dealers can do. But beware, the other 75% have had to come to STL because the price was 1000+ better

I am now not officially employeed by Lou Fusz Dodge, yet I retain all the pricing authority, and the ability to look up rebates, etc

Anyway, I always - Just PM me if I can help!

Ohh and by the way, for you guys that dont know, I no longer work directly for Lou Fusz Dodge

Good news though, I will still be able to offer the 3% under invoice, etc - For those east/south guys that are far away from dishman

And as always, I can email a price an spec sheet to you for leverage for your local dealer if it helps ;)

Can I assume you can offer invoice - 3% - rebates/incentives?

Thanks

I dont know anyone there, But I would contact the manager and ask him to match the deals you have gotten from Lou Fusz Dodge and Dishman Dodge (3% under invoice)...

Then you'll know if he's a player. I'll fax ya a spec sheet if he needs proof.

I just got my new 06 Ram from Folsom Lake Dodge at Folson CA for $10,000. 00 off MSRP, they had several priced like that, I was told in another forum that there was a lot of dealers giving that much off, but after a week of searching internet dealers none came close to that deal, I have no connection to that dealer and had never purchased anything from them

before. I need to edit my profile pretty soon. .

Last truck I bought was from Dave Smith. At this time though he doesn't have the 06 Dually, Just a bunch of 07's coming in. Well I did it today. Just went down to Tom Addis and they did match the deal from Dishman or Dave Smith. $1000. 00 UNDER invoice and also get to keep the rebates. They had the perfect 06 crewcab, Dually optioned like I would order. Actually had two. Spent a lot of time in the seat of the Duramax and the Dodge and In the opinion of my wife and I the Dodge wins hands down. The Duramax/Allison is a SMOOTH combo though, I will give it that. The truck however, well, it's my opinion it can't touch the Ram. The ride was actually HARSH in the GM, which is so unlike them. The IFS just simply makes me nervous compared to the solid axle. Power? I'm not sure I believe the 360HP rating though. Seems like you really had to wind it up to make some power and pulling I just don't run those RPM's. SO there it is. I was part of the Original people to order the 01 ETH/DEE and although I loved the 01, the 06 seems really refined. We pick it up next week after all the "trimming" are added...
