Last Thursday I bought it for $158. 9 in Los Lunas NM (20 miles south of Albuquerque). Saw it on a 4-lane country hiway between Belen and Los Lunas NM this morning for $145. 9. Haven't been around Albuquerque enough to notice the prices there.
West Central Indiana prices today were... . Unleaded $1. 39... Diesel $1. 79. Much more of this and any little advantage to owning a diesel for fuel economy savings is gone. I havent done the math but getting 5-8 mpg better is great compared to the C2500 Chevy I used to drive... that is until I'm paying $0. 40 more for each gallon of fuel now. Seems like its been this way for a while around here.
At work I'm looking at plans to bid the construction of a de-sulfurization process plant for a nearby Marathon refinery. They have to take the sulfur out of gasoline. That should even it out... until diesel gets the same treatment even more so. Then diesel gets more expensive... and I'll need more Stanadyne... and its price will go up... But I like my truck
WTF Gas is down to $1. 37 and diesel is still $1. 65. A couple years ago when gas was close to $2. 00 diesel was $1. 50. I wonder what is going on. I just had to vent a little when I seen gas under $1. 40 today.
Yesterday I posted that diesel was 1. 79. Today its 1. 69. Unleaded is still 1. 39.
I walked over to a fellow with a Duramax who was filling up and asked him how he liked his truck... etc. He was telling me that in the next town over (8 miles) it was 1. 49. Used to be fuel was very close in price in this area. Didn't matter if I drove 25 miles... the price was always a few pennies more or less. Now its all over the board. And each day is different.
