2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 1998 T-STyle Converstion Question

Hello All,

I'm the proud owner of a 1998 2500 12 Valve Short Box Mega Cab. I recently converted from a 47Re to an NV4500. I've been fixing as I go and just replaced all the ball joints. I noticed I've got a bad joint on my drag link as well so was in the process of replacing it when I've ran into some issues. It seem the previous owner upgraded to the T-Style system already. I picked up a Moog DS800981A complete steering linkage and started changing it out. That's when the headaches stated. This does not work with the stock pitman arm. After consulting several "experts" at online parts stores I now have three pitman arms and none of them work. I was sent another stock one, two of the right looking ones but both are different sizes and both are two big for the sector shaft on my steering box. Does anyone have the right part number for this conversion?

Well, you likely don't have the factory steering Box then?
That comes to mind if so many different pitman arms don't fit.

And as a Note, 98.5 - 00 24V came factory with a T-steering linkage.
Maybe yours was converted to that?

Yes, Its the factory steering box. I'm assuming I need to upgrade it?

I've read it and the pitman arm they list doesn't work either. I think it's the 08 steering box.

I'm wondering if the size of the sector shaft changed from 98-98.5

After much frustration I ordered the Synergy kit that works with the pitman arm I have on the truck. I should have done that in the beginning rather than screw around with a bunch of Moog kits.

I was just looking up that Moog Kit - this is for an MY 09-11 how did you come up with the idea that this fits your 98?
