O. K. so I want to wire the dims to stay on when the bright lights are on. I figured I could get a relay, splice into bright wire to trigger relay than wire the dims through relay straight from battery.

Know I need to know which wire is dim and which is bright on the headlight bulb connector?

Also will running both bright and dim at the same time be too hot for the plastic lens on a 2005?

Any other things to be concerned about?

Thanks,

Check out Genos Garage for the Bright Box. It will do what you're asking without the problems of doing it yourself. The way chrysler has wired these trucks up has created problem after problem with do it yourselfers and projects such as these. These trucks have self diagnostics built into the lighting system which tends to be very sensitive and easy to foul up. Also, each headlight is on a seperate circuit so as to prevent both headlights from shorting out at once. The bright box isn't cheap, but it addresses all potential problems and is plug and play.

Yep... the Brite Box from Genos is definitely the way to go. I just bought one myself. I paid $189. 00 for the one that will keep my fog lights on along with my dim lights. I think it was worth the $$$$!!!!!! Oo.

It's pretty easy to modify the high beam switch so it clicks into place halfway. (the "flash to pass" or "optical horn" as the manual calls it)

Member DWestfall came over the other day to adjust valves and I showed him mine. We did his pretty quickly and easily and he can have his high, low and fogs on at the same time. See my thread on BOMBing the multifunction switch.

I've had this mod going on 3 years with no problems. I REALLY like it and can't imagine being stock again.

The switch is about a 5 minute job to remove & install. A T20 and phillips is all that's needed (DO NOT follow the service manual instructions for removal-- They have you uneccessarily removing steering wheel, airbag, clockspring, etc. ) Once the switch is out and you pop the gray cover off and play with it a bit, it becomes obvious what to do.

Thanks guys, I've been away for six days. When I catch up on things around here I'll take a look at the website link. I like do-it-yourself projects, I knew someone had already done the leg work and hopefully I can follow in your steps soon.

Thanks,
