I'm here in Vegas for NFR and Ram always has a big showing. The guys at the booth told me that late 2015, mega cab long beds will be available from the factory. Crossing my fingers.

Great news for some...I know a lot of folks have been wanting that option. That thing would not begin to fit in my garage. I wonder how long the drive shaft will be, and if it'll be steel or aluminum? I wonder if it'll be in SRW and DRW options? They will probably start with one and move to the other...

Up here in my neck, it's too long for my needs also. I just wish Ram would shorten the front of the cab up to make a little extra clearance for the back seat. Even though the new cabs are more spacious than the 3rd gen's, it's till lacking compared to the Ferd or Chevys back seat crew cabs.

That is going to be a long rig! Gonna have to be knocking on 180" WB. I was just under a long WB sprinter, and that had a double hangar shaft. I'd expect something like that.

That is going to be one long SOB.........

Yeah, the 2014 crew cab and long bed is already a barge/bus with a crappy turning radius.

I'm 6'3" and change and my 2014 is the first crew cab where I can sit in the back seat and it's ROOMY. I don't hit my head on the ceiling, and my knees are not jammed into the front seats.

As a mechanic - I really, really, REALLY hate the cab forward design. One should not have to pull the cab to access the rear third of the engine.

That's probably accurate, In 06, I went to the NFR in Vegas to see the all new C&C in the Laramie trim with the B&W Elite Flat Bed that I wanted to see, before I ordered my C&C with the same bed. The big question at that time was, will the C&C 6.7 engine increase in HP along with the 07.5, 6.7's? From the dealers too factory reps, only the Dodge reps at the Rodeo in Vegas got it right. The rep quoted all HP & Torque numbers accurately for all models with the G56 and the new auto's that were now available. The problem for me with that news, is that I only have 55K miles on my 07 C&C and Won't be buying one any time soon.

When I sit in the back of my crewcab, I see a bit of wasted space, almost too much leg room. What would be cool if Ram kept the CCLB wheel base, shove the rear seat forward three or four inches and made a mini mega cab.....Oo.

This Ram rep is the same dude who told me the urea was going to be added to the 2013's. None of that info could be found anywhere online at that time.

Where going back to the cowboy Christmas later today. I'll see if I can get more info out of him and report it back here.

I'd buy one. I think that would be the **** there now. At least with the 8 ft bed it would have better looking fenders on the dually than what they do now. The mega cabs with 6 ft boxes just don't look right. It just doesen't do the cab any justice with that short bed.

I miss my 06 mega but don't miss the short bed a bit. I really liked the space behind the seats as I like to keep a very tidy truck send that was perfect to keep a pillow, blanket, tools etc that just don't fit in the crew cab. Had this been an option in 13, that's what I would have ordered but it's not worth a trade in at this point for me. I'm down 2 kids since 06.

I will trade mine in on one. That's exactly what I'm looking for. The only reason I didn't get a MC is because I couldn't get a 8' bed.

Hunter Dodge in Lancaster Ca has built two Mega's with 8 foot boxes. Sent them out to a place that stretched the frame and put a 8' box on. Only saw pictures but they ARE long suckers. They didn't look bad either, just long. If you got the money you can get darn near anything you want!

Exactly, I Look forward to the order process. I have been wanting one for years. I hope the GVW is 14k or higher.

I hope they have a bigger fuel tank. It only makes sense. You make a long truck you install a big tank to go longer distance. I'm thinking at 60 gallons should do it. JMHO.

If it is rated over 14k it would need to be a 4500. I wonder if that is their plan? It might be easier to use the C/C frame and design an 8' pickup bed to fit rather than build a longer frame for the existing 8' bed. That would be one heavy duty bugger! Big front axle, big rear axle, air ride, 19.5's.....move over, Ford F-450:-laf
