I'd buy one, but I would hope they don't go with the C&C engine ratings, but go with the 3500 engine power levels. I won't buy one if it is derated in the power department for sure. I've got a buddy that bought a 5500 at the same time as me, 2014's, and with the same overall weight with quads and RV's, I seriously blow him away on the mountains and on off ramps etc. I'd never buy a C&C because I'd never be content with it and mad at every hill.
If they are making one of these it would be awesome if it has the frame and axles of the 5500, but the motor spec's of the 3500. I'd be in line for one!

Didn't Ram have a concept truck out a year or so ago that was similar? "Long-Hauler" maybe?
Yes they did. Here is a photo...

My CC is about as long as I want it.......this must be a beast to park, but that tailgate looks pretty cool......

I want the 19's on my new 15 on order. Anyone do this mod? If so where did they buy the wheels. Also tires.

Rickson wheel was the way to go back in the day for 19's. Over the last few years, their reputation for customer service has went into the crapper. Lot's of back ordered wheel and chrome wheel trim rings that can't be produced for whatever reason. But Rickson is happy to take your money up front though.

The ins. adjuster that came out last week and inspected my mega cab where the deer hit me and was telling me that the mega cab will no longer be available, said that dodge quit making them, wonder if she knew what she was talking about, Just repeating what the adjuster told me, Monte

I would love an OEM MCLB! Can't justify one, but would love it. With the steering improvements made on 2010+ front axles I don't see turning being an issue, thou there are some places I do 3 (or 7) point turns now that an extra 20" of wheelbase just wouldn't physically fit.

There are several companies that sell DRW 19.5" wheels, thou I am not sure you gain much as the DRW's aren't tire or wheel limited to begin with. I do love my 19.5's in a single application thou, so I could see wanting them for DRW. Tires are easy to come by, and I would go with 245s for the added sidewall and associated ride over 225s.

I just think the looks of the 19.5's fit the truck better than the 17's. Perfect example look at the LongHauler.

I like the look of the 19's also. I almost bought some through Rickson about 2 years ago but That wait time was about 8-10 weeks. I also wanted the chrome trim rings which were also back ordered and they were up front that they didn't have any idea when those rings would become available again.

I would so love to see this happen. I believe the last megacab 3500 DRW I looked at had a 10500 GVW. I don't know what the new ones are, anybody??? I just hope the MCLB has at least 14k so I can run my camper etc. You know, work it like a truck.

Now if only they'd build a factory Ram 4500 Pickup.

I guess I have to ask why???

The current Ram 3500 DRW carries a 14,000 GVWR, which is the limit on a Class III vehicle. The F-450 Pickup is also rated at 14,000 lbs, and only has a slight advantage on ratings.. mainly for marketing.

If you need more than 14,000lbs of rated GVWR then Class IV is probably a better choice.

Or, after all that, are you simply looking for a Class IV truck with a OEM pickup bed?

It would ride like a buckboard, until my bed was installed on my C&C, and its a 3500, I knew where every bump in the road was. Most 4500/5500's have a very heavy bed and is permenant in their weight, so they ride better than my 3500 with its B&W bed with a total weight of @ 9500 pounds GVW.

Unless it's a service truck, in which case it's overweight, and listing to the left.

Thats is not true at all. There are no plans to stop building them at least not anytime soon.

I also doubt highly that you will ever see a mega cab long bed as for them to build them they would need to spend a fortune on the factory to fit them and then it would be even harder to ship them as they will not fit on the car carriers. with that said the price increase for them to be built and shipped would throw the price over the roof. It would be very stupid of Fiat to build something like that unless it was a specialty thing in which case they are built in very limited numbers but at the same time it would still drive the price way up on them.
