Bob, p20ee on a 2015 3500. I ask the service manager, you guys going to do the s68 recall? He says no not the s68, it's not for 3500 yet. But we are going to do everything s68 calls for and just doing it under warranty. I say ok good deal. Started at 16k now at 20k we are getting it done. This looks like a chronic problem
There was
a learning curve to get to this point.Once I discovered the real fix,I was replacing scr cats like crazy up to 3 a day along with all the other repairs and services that I had lined up..I told all the advisors and service manager a recall was sure to come. The recall notifications were very slow to be sent out.We were receiving scr cats by the pallet load while I was reading all the supply issues written here
What is the problem with the SCR. I have had two DEF warnings, but nothing done other then checking the DEF for quality, and was okay. Codes, and CEL cleared, and sent on my way. Sounds like the next time I should pursue getting the SCR replaced ,and the nox sensor deleted under warranty, or do I wait until the recall is for the 3500's. Mine is the 2014 3500.
I would ask your dealer to perform tsb 18-088-15,
There should be a dtc, stored is enough. If you have a record of the P20ee on a previous repair order you might talk to the service manager with ro in hand.If that fails call the 800# and open a cair case.Since it a known issue they may decide to make you a happy consumerI was told by my dealer that I couldn't get the TSB unless I had an active code ,and CEL. Any truth to that ? As said the code, and CEL was cleared, it wasn't by my local dealer it was one out of town while on a trip. Nothing mentioned about the TSB. When I got home mentioned it to my local dealer, but as said needed an active code ,and CEL
Ask that manager to show you in the owners manual that you "must use Mopar DEF" when he looks and looks and cant find it, then ask him to get back to work, and my truck is right thereHere in central Indiana when you call ram dealer about def light.
