Webster defines ignorance as a lack of knowledge or information. We are all ignorant of various things. You lead me to believe you are are ignorant of the definition of the word among other things. Otherwise you wouldn’t take offense to a simple statement of fact. That’s assuming you actually didn’t know it was the same trans. If you did know and made that statement anyway there’s a name for those who who do such things.

You still don't admit you made a statement that was false.

By definition you are correct. Intent behind the wording may have been a bit different!

Those computer mpg calculators might be affected by marketing also. The truck evic might not be telling the true mpg

Semantics.
Same transmission, but apparently some upgrades internally.

Yep, just liked Cummins did with the 2013.5 to 2018 engines HP/TQ updates. Not sure how much change occurs on transmission to drive a new version or an revision, visa ve the AS68RC and AS69RC and what ever the latest revision nomenclature is, but it is consistent with the HP, TQ, and weight loads of the trucks.

Interesting my visit to Aisin website shows they have high torque 8 and 10 speed trannies, but have no idea about compatibility with Ram.

So, just a couple more thoughts to add to the PILE.

Cheers, Ron

The trailer alone was 16,000 lbs.......... Plus the 9000-10,000 lb weight of the truck...... Would put gross weight at just over 25,000 lbs. Your avg fuel mileage would be less as you combine uphill with downhill. ??????

You are missing the point. Forget truck weight. 14k is nothing for these trucks especially when max tow is twice that amount. And at top of hill at 50% was 3-4mpg.. LORD have mercy. What will it be on same hill with 35k trailer?

Honorable members of the peanut gallery:
I's like to point out SIGNIFICANT missing information on the Cummins AND the Ram websites: the max TQ and Max HP RPMs info is not there, nor are there any power curves. It would be nice to SEE how the TQ holds as HP is built and achieved! AND, the Cummins site USED to have the max HP and TQ RPMs listed but its gone.

Isn't it crazy to have so many WORDS and so little INFORMATION.

With a 35k trailer, you would need a commercial drivers license. And you would void your new tuck warranty in the process. You would also have 7000-9000 in the bed on a gooseneck?
Wouldn't you need more than an E-rated tire for that kind of weight?

Maybe you are confused about GCWR??????

I saw a dyno pull video that Firepunk did. The outlier numbers were a fit of stupidity where they blasted nitrous at the intake. At least the shape of the curves gives an idea.

5,250# is 15% of 35,000#. Not an issue for the reg cab DRW keeping it the stupid 14k GVWR.

That pin is at least 500# less than what I run, I am at full RAWR. Also I have about 2,000# capacity with my rear “E” tires.

I don’t need a commercial license at 35k combined I tow nor would I towing 35k.

Voiding warranty? Nope as they are rating it to do so.

Goosenecks often run 20-25 % tongue weight.

He said 35k trailer weight that would be pushing 43k-45k combined

Likely nearly the same... WOT is WOT. It would be a little lower due to the slower speed, but not drastic.

You know it takes fuel to make hp right?

Your truck would likely be just as low, or lower.
