Competition Exhaust Gasket (Turbo & Flange)

Competition SMOKED Another Lightning!

Is anyone running a twin setup on a 24v using a Big Brother as the bottom turbo? If so whats your setup? and how do you like it?

Pro's & Con's??? Anyone... Anyone.....

Thanks

I'm not a 24V guy but I do have the turbo! Even in valet mode (550 hp) the Big Brother is no issue if your thinking it's a lag pig! It's not, and it stays with my top charger like they were meant to be together..... good choice and I'm glad I did it!

I'm still working out the bugs--I pegged 71psi on the dyno and the temps were 1387 with my original B1 and Big Brother and Bullydog 11 injectors--so that part is awesome, but I couldn't get them to light at the Bullydog sled pull--I'm not sure if it's a turbo issue, altitude issue, too tight of a torque convertor or something else at this point---truck does seem to run hotter for everyday driving with the drag comp set on 1 or 2(outside air temp 70-95, cruising at 70mph, 2000rpms, 9psi boost temps are 1140ish)(with box off and outside temps at 60-75 egts were 950ish), but I'm going to get the air filter up on the wheel well and that may help the running hotter issue some, but the spooling issue is the major issue at this point--the everyday temps are the same if I use my original B1 or the B1 on steroids--I took the B1 on steroids off for the drive to Idaho hoping the egt temps would change, but it didn't--didn't have time to get the B1 on steroids back on to dyno and pull with, so further testing will have to be done in the future with the steroided B1--- egt's didn't care if I used Bullydog 8's(drive to Idaho) or Bullydog 5's drive back to CA)----I did try to spool the turbos last night, but she gets to about 1500rpms and then doesn't move--boost is between 3-4psi--this is with the box set at 5--I am going to see what happens with the box off and that will tell me that it's not an altitude issue and something else----chris

Chris. . what lines/tubes are in there right now ??

just an FYI. . I'm running a bit hotter now, but it's summer here :)

not much temp difference there I'm sure

Jim, I thought you where running the Piers modified HT3B on your truck at one time. Is that true or am I in my own world.

I did run that setup, a Stock 35/18. 5 with a PDR HT3B/26 and pushed it to 706 HP. Last fall I told Piers I wanted to go to something bigger so I sold that setup and built a PDR40/ Big Brother combo and haven't looked back. I'll tell you this, the air temp at the hat is the same but at 15 psi more boost. I have no issues with this setup and I can make 80 psi fuel only on a dynojet, more than enough... ... actually too much.

The old setup has a DZ 35/40 on top now and will get some special tuning on the 215 pump soon.

Jim--what torque convertor do you have--can you build boost off the line when power braking in valet mode or valet off????----chris

91 converter, building boost is no issue, trying to keep it between the ditches is... ... . guess I'm going to have to buy some slicks just to road test! During normal driving and with no smoke show, boost builds fine to about 1800(light throttle driving) now pour the fuel or get it past 2K and it is almost instant.
