2nd gen seats in Regular Cab?

Anyone installed second gen seats in a first gen regular cab? Was talking to KBalzuweit about his seat for sale, but I am concerned about loss of room since I am 6'4". Sounds like other regular cab owners would like to know how it ended up if you've done this. Also, these seats in question have integral seat belts. Anyone dealt with that in a retrofit? These are '98ish seats. Does an earlier and/or regular cab second gen seat use seat belts mounted to the body?

I think only the quad cabs had the seatbelt through the seat. On a side note, i put a second gen seat in my dad's '70 D300. You can make anything work with a torch,and welder.
