2WD Front Coil Springs

Hi All,

I have a 06 CTD, 4Dr, 2WD, LB, that I have added a Ranch Hand Grill Guard, that has dropped the front end lower than it already was, when it was already low. I have been attempting to find some longer coil lift springs, but that is a chore in itself. There are not very many choices, almost none for our 2wd trucks. I have check around and they want $500 to make two springs for my truck! That is ridiculous!! If anyone has any information on where I can get some 2 " taller springs for a 3rd gen, please let me know.

I've run 2" spacers for years on mine without any problems.
From what I've found they are also available for 2wd.

When you added the 2" spacers, did you add longer shocks?

Use MOOG 81310 as OEM aftermarket reference for stock height.

If your front end has sagged the amount that the spacers will lift it, no shock changes needed. Your just achieving stock height back which is where the shocks were designed to ride at.

When you added the 2" spacers, did you add longer shocks?

No I didn't, 2" works fine with the stock shocks travel length.
