If Curt hitches are made in China then they are being very misrepresentative. From their home page :

"CURT is a leading manufacturer and marketer of top-quality towing products. The company offers American-made, custom-fit receiver hitches and wiring harnesses for nearly any vehicle on the road. They also market a broad range of trailer hitches, towing systems and related accessories. CURT is ‘The First Name in Towing Products’ for automobile and truck hitches, as well as RV, gooseneck and commercial towing systems. Products are marketed through retailers, distributors, installers, and e-tailers across the U.S. and Canada. CURT employs hundreds of associates, primarily at their manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. CURT operates 10 regional warehouses, each carrying over 2,500 items and has been twice named a Wisconsin ‘Manufacturer of the Year’.

They have selectively used some choice words in that paragraph such as " marketing", so perhaps they do build some hitches and source others out... I know my uncle has 2 and they are both stamped made in the USA.

More important (to me) than origin is whether or not they meet SAE J2638 testing standards, and all Curt 5th wheel hitches do. I nearly bought one myself but was GIVEN a Husky 24k (please, no ribbing :-laf)

Forums are full of chinese ST issues, however I have yet to see a post on Sailun tires or any 5th wheel hitch failure. I sent an email with the model that I want to buy asking me where it and its components were manufactured. Snoking

Ok, we bought this in Greeley, Co, from John Elway CDJR dealership, just have to fly there Sunday and start driving home in it and Monday. The new "SNOKING" truck.

Just noticed the L/F tire looks like it's been curbed. You might want to have them check the alignment before driving it home. :--)
