DID ANYONE PULL OUT THERE???? BESIDES THE FORDS???????

Did anyone pull with a South Bend clutch???

What, do most of you guys just look at your trucks?:D

Even if you did not win, tell us how the pull was!

Any Duramaxes show?

Gene

I was lucky enough to get in one pull before the sled started breaking down. I am not sure what my pull was. I had several people saying is was a good one but I was told 5 different results!!

As for SB Clutches: This Was Peter after My Pull :D:D;)

Thanks to all that helped out at the Diesel Bombing Garage... . Blair, Mike, Bryan and the rest of the RV Wagoneers.....

Had a Great Time in Tulare!

Wish I would have entered the Pulls.
The only reason the Guy with the Black Ford pulled so far was because he had a Weight Rack for tractor weights on the frontend.

Maybe next year we'll pull the Trailer up.
Man, Blair Has a Nice Rig, Its a Complete Cummins BombBay on Wheels!.

Doug.

Gene,

Actualy two of my 2001 con fe clutches were in the pulls. HVAC sold one to a guy that entered. Both of them pulled a little over 160ft. I begged them not to do it but there was no talking them out of it. :( I was sitting in the stands with Joe D. right in front of me. The stands were slotted for a quick escape if needed. I don't think you could have pulled a piece of paper out of my crack when the OK to pull was given, but they faired well. I think the trick was they both did their pull in 3rd low and let her rip. No feathering, just let up and hit the go peddle.

I don't think Frank from PA did so well just because of the weights... That truck was doing some heavy fueling also... Plus he trailered it from Pittsburgh... . That truck was not a daily driver... .

Now that I think of it... Herb from Kustom truck was right there with Frank. . And Herbs truck is a Crew Cab longbed and a daily driver... .....

Colin

As you can see... Security was high at the meet... . No power secrets goin to the Ford camp...

CCahill, Frank's truck (a. k. a. "Powersnorter" on Diesel-Central.com) is somewhat of a daily driver. It gets used on the road. Just too far to drive a regular cab across country and be comfortable.

That picture is hilarious, by the way. Thanks for the laughs! What, did the dog have a Cummins dog collar, or something?

without a boubt Franks truck was one of the coolest diesel pullers I've ever seen. I hope some day I can have my truck set up like it for pulling.

BriarHopper,

Thanks for the correction... . Franks group was staying in the same hotel as us, but I didn't know about the truck 'till that morning, so I didn't get a chance to talk to him... . Franks truck is a sleeper of sorts... Don't get me wrong, Adams truck is double-throw down BAD... . Big fun... But that truck of Franks is downright scary!!!

Good weekend... wish it was bigger... . Maybe I'll have to bite the bullett and check out the next May Madness. .

Colin

Peter,

heheehehheheeh!

You would think old "take some pucks off her and she'll hold Donnelly " would have demonstrated to me and the world that his clutch would hold instead of watching!!

No need for thanks on the R&D Joe!

I'm having large decals made for the pulls:

" THIS TRUCK HAS A DRE CLUTCH AND IS PART OF EXTENSIVE AND SCIENTIFIC TESTING. ":D :D :D

I'm killin me!LOL!

Hey MGM it seems that you have some sort of grudge against Joe's clutch by reading a few post's here? If so what exactly is wrong I have dealt with Joe for many years and I can't see him not wanting to help and make it right. You say above that "take some pucks off her and she'll hold Donnelly " well if it is slipping that will in deed fix the problem. I don't have one of Joes clutches but I have driven a few trucks that do and they do work. I am not trying to flame your opinion just trying to help. It just kills me that we all can't get along, we are all out for the same thing, making our trucks the best they can be.

Blair

Thanks BPINE!

Thanks Blair for taking care of MikeR's e-brake switch. It made the 15 hour ride home more pleasant, we got to hear just the engine, turbo and exhaust (a sweet symphony!).

After the weekend in Mike's Ram when I jumped into my Super Duty to head to work Monday it really felt sluggish. And the turbo was hard to hear, maybe it needs a Psycotty Air! (Or as mike told a Ford owner at Tulare: "There is a $35,000 performance upgrade available for your truck: we replace it with a Dodge". :D

Steve

Gene,

The purpose of my post was not to hammer on Joe Donnelly but to make a point of pulling techniques. Joe is a friend of mine and I respect him greatly. I don't think it is very professional to try and distroy a good, honest person's name on the TDR. If a person is a liar and a cheat then hammer away, but this is not the case. Joe has only tried to provide parts for the rammers. I have recently had to deal with someone trying to hurt our name and it is not a good feeling when you try your best. If you would like to promote the Mitchells you can do so without hurting other people.

This is only my opinion, take it for what it's worth.

Peter

Peter,

I never heard the official distance I pulled but was told every thing from 232 ft to 252ft... . Anybody know for sure??

Thanks for the info on the switch Steve I e mailed Mike but I haven't heard back.

Hey Kurt how did the new turbo work I saw you blasting through the parking lot when I left.

Kurt,

You know me... . I underestimate everything by 50% LOL I think you're right about the distance... it was in the mid 2s but you didn't break 250... you'll have to try harder next time.

Peter

I would have given the chance for a second pull. I was going to pull a higher gear and load it down more at the start so I could blow some smoke... It's a much better show..... (JFYI the next gear up is 4th low with about a 25% gearing change then 2nd high with another 12. 5% climb in gearing). I waited too long before I floored it and if you give the turbo a chance to spool up you get almost no smoke even from dd'3s and a pe comp. Nice in traffic but no fun when you want to "Show Off" :D
