Decisions, Decisions

The Annual Bakersfield Business Conference is in town with Top World Leaders and Celebrities including Bill Orielly (the Factor) Arnold Swartzenhagar and Others Speaking on the 13th about Our World. This is Great place to Be if your into Politics and World events.

Last Year General Swartzkof, Former Pres Jimmy Carter were there.

The Year Before That, G Gordon Liddy and the Jewish Priminister (Cant Pronounce his name) were also speakers.

G Gordon Liddy was Quite Intresting, Very Well Spoken. I even Had him autograph his Latest Book called "Will". Man Is He Short!.

Heres the Link http://www.bpcbakbusconf.com/.

cost is 350. 00 a ticket.

Bakersfield aint no Hick town no more!.

I am Still going to the Show Down on Sunday, Dont know about Saturday.

Hwy 155 goes from Wofford Heights to Delano. But its atleast a 12% Grade up the hill from Wofford heights to Alta Sierra. And I would not pull a Trailer up that hill (Compare it to Hwy 108). Then on the west side its a slow twisty ride down to Glenville and Woody. Slow going route.

Hwy178 is slow going from 395 to Bakersfield. due to the Kern River Canyon road is narrow and curvey. 25mph tops in some area's

Better take HWY 120 through Yosemtie from 395 to 99 and down to Tulare.

Or Take the I15 south to Hwy58 through Barstow East to Bakersfield. Then up Hwy99 to Tulare.

Barstow is about 3 hrs from Tulare, Watch out for the CHP!

Hope this helps.

Heber

You Have to Stop in at the Mad Greek in Baker Ca On I15 to Have Lunch. Trust Me, Thats the Best Food and Lots of it!.

Lunch/Dinner in Bakersfield?. Try Buck Owens Own Crystal Palace! on Buck Owens Bld,Just Off hwy99 Two exits north of the Hwy58 east on ramp to hwy99 north. You Can See the Sign from Hwy99.

Hope this helps.

Just To Be Clear

Last year we pulled both days, Sat. to establish the top contenders, and Sunday for the pull-off. Sounds like this year the pulls will be a Saturday only event.

hvac

are you going to dyno at this event? do you know what kind of dyno it will be? i don't think i will be pulling unless we decide to bring another truck and trailer with us.

Hvac, Have you heard if there are going to be any Rules or Guide lines followed for the Truck Pulls???? I just wanted to know before I pour the Slab of Concrete into the bed of my Ram ;) .

NW BOMBer representation

Me and jmbrowning are trying to sort out plans to drive down to Tulare after we get out of work friday morning for this event. We'll take my truck and if we switch off driving duties, then we can get there fairly quickly. Not set in stone yet but we're going to try.

I'm there!

I'm in! Got off the hook with the previous plans with the better half :D so I'm good to go!

CUMMINNTSTROKIN,

My Trip Planner CD shows 970 miles Seattle to Tulare. As a matter of interest it showed 1292 from Missoula (I couldn't remember where Mike said you live) to Tulare the SLC route and 1446 the Seattle route.

See you there!

JM Browning, MikeR, Jim Fuller, etc. welcome to the October Showdown. I sure appreciate your support. Let's make it a date to have lunch near the Diesel-Central.com booth on Saturday. Any customers of mine can leave their money in their pocket, cause I'll cover your lunch.

Weather Should be nice
