Well the dealer just finished replacing the transmission and things are worse now than before.

1. they replaced the torque converter and the transmission.

Question here is is it necessary to pull the rear engine seal when removing the torque converter?

Why because now the engine oil is pouring out of the inspection cover.

2. they dropped the truck while on the rack and bent both running boards. These are not cheapies ( Putco stainless steel Master Boss).

3. the "new" transmission from Mopar is leaking at the rear seal

4. One of the bolts that hold the shifter cable bracket was left out.

Now I am afraid to take it back, what else will they screw up.

Puller. #@$%!#@$%!#@$%!

It is not necessary to pull the rear main or the flexplate to change the transmission or torque converter. If it is leaking, I would consider it by chance that it started at the same time. I darn sure wouldn't take it back to them. Problem is, now the trans has to come back out to fix the rear main seal if that is actually the problem. Make sure they didn't knock a hole in the oil pan or something else off the wall. Good luck!

I would absolutely take it back to the dealer that did the warranty work. Speak to the Service Mgr. and (as calmly as possible) explain your concerns. They not only need to correct the leak and missing bolt, but also take care of the damage. It is very hard to remain calm when talking about what they screwed up, but that is what you have to do. MAKE THEM MAKE IT RIGHT!

After that, find a new dealer for warranty work. I wouldn't want those clowns changing a light bulb.

Thanks for the replies. The truck only has 28,000 miles. transmission was not shifting like it should that is why they pulled the transmission and replace it and the torque converter. They are a bunch of screw ups, I have serious reservations about taking it back.

Excellent, and I agree 100%, not that you need me to agree, I just didn't feel like typeing.
