Forums are great for people who need help or want to post a gripe .
I would like to hear from those who have new trucks that don't have major issues. I only have a 1000 miles on my 2014 so its too early to say.
I read a lot of bad - sure would like to hear some good.

So far...and you know I am knocking on a large piece of wood, I have not had a CEL in the 5,000 miles, and my major issue is a version of the dead pedal. I have a two second delay when pulling out to pass. Sometimes have to abort. The electronics will drive me nuts forever because I am an old man and don't have a fifth grader around to help me. The performance of the engine and trans have been superior to anything I have ever owned. And the truck is quiet inside, much to the delight of my ears. The towing interface is excellent as well. The ride is terrible but is that the fault of Ram or our lousy highways? I think the latter. It's a one ton truck and rides like one. Disappointed they did not get the air ride thing together as advertised but all in all, it's a great rig.

With all due respect to Sag and the other great Ram/diesel mechanics, I don't trust the kids at the dealerships. Too many bad experiences with my 04 model. I do not want to go to a dealer if I can avoid it. And I don't think Sag is coming to my house any time soon. So just hope you got a good one.

Mike

after 10,000 miles on my 2013 I can report it has been problem free other than the rear fuel filter not being turned on. That did not cause any problems but I learned about it on the forum and checked it out and had the reflash done.

I have many customers who haven't had any issues with their 13/14's but I normally check for any updates time permitting. My biggest gripe would have to be the radios and how many attempts to get them to work right

So far with 24000 miles on my 2013 3500 hi output I have no problems. It's a pulling mother and I'm very happy. My last truck was a 2001 2500 ctd and I was very happy with it but this new truck is way better. The new technology is above my head. Hope it keeps up. Brett

73,000 Kilometers on my 2011 3500 Laramie (6.7 Cummins). This is the best vehicle I have ever owned from comfort to function and everything in between. No problems whatsoever! I love this truck!

30000 miles on my 13 and no major problems. A few trips to the dealer for computer updates have fixed all of my issues.

5000 miles on my 2014. Just got my first oil change. Ive had it like 2 months.

No problems at all. I "might" have had the dead pedal thing once, but it hasn't happened since. I put the Edge Juice on it already. I'm still playing with the first 3 power levels to see if I can get MPG gains, but for the most part, I will just use the "stock" mode. Especially when towing. It pulls my 10K trailer great. And in stock mode, I don't have to worry about my EGT's

I love my new truck.

About 29,000 on my 2011. Talking with a guy at work about diesel trucks today, realized my truck wasn't new anymore. Still feels like new to me, not having any problems.

32K on my 2013. My MAIN gripe is the slip an slide shifting pattern change from the 2012 68 RFE. As usual, axles, the Cummins and all othet things perform well. A few re-flash bugs but nothing a trip to the dealer wont fix.

Overall, its one hell of a towing machine and the E-brake never ceases to amaze me. Came down a 6% grade labor day w/end, full GCVWR and it kept me just barely needing to tap the brakes once and a while.

Oh, my other BIG gripe.....I wish those "OTHER" slow poke diesels out there would move to the right so I can go up a hill full speed....They are trying to show me how well they slug up a hill and cause me frustration !!!! :( LOL ;)

I purchased signature truck February 20th, 2014 (that's 196 days of ownership for those of you counting). I'm currently at 38,043 miles, 49 idle hours, 704 drive hours. The Radio Flyer has been back to the dealership once for a left rear door lock actuator. Love the RAM, love the Cummins (I've owned one since December 1997) and particularly love the Aisin.....although a certain vendor on another forum states "that we feel the AS68RC was and continues to be one of the worst transmissions we have come across.....We are hoping that AS69RC doesn't fall into the AS68RC's shortcomings." :-laf

I own a 2012 Ram 2500 with 33K. It has been a great truck, just oil changes and scheduled maintenance, no issues at all. The truck is a beast, I love the exhaust brake and stock power. I have 4.10 gears which are great for towing but not great for speed/mileage and at present I do too many short trips so my mileage is pretty poor. That is my fault not the truck's and soon enough I should be back to longer trips on the highway with a trailer and it should be all good. I have accessorized and upgraded it a bit with shocks, leveling kit, tires, Mag Hytec pan and cover, and it is sharp looking truck, I get compliments on it often. Truck performs as advertised (i.e. like a smooth beast), I am very happy and love my second Cummins!!

Good question for the forum. Unfortunately, all we read is the bad stuff which probably only accounts to a small percentage when in reality, the largest sum of owners are more than happy with their trucks.

I remember when I joined TDR. After months of only reading bad reports about 3rd Gen's, I found myself looking for trouble when I didn't have any trouble at all. That truck turned out to be the best Dodge Cummins I ever owned.

These forums are awesome but we all need to sit back once in a while and look at the big picture instead of focussing on the 1%ers.

No real problems. Vibration empty and two trips to the dealer for reflashes and a new radio. The truck does what I bought if for, starts every time I turn the key and tows like a monster. 10,000 miles.

My sig truck is my first diesel pickup. I bought the truck to tow stuff - small boat, trailer for the boy scout troop, and travel trailer. Now at 18K miles. Blew a fuse for the trailer connection once. Other than that, the truck has been flawless.

Did not know what an exhaust brake was when I bought the truck. Soon learned what is was and love it.

I have 18K miles on my 2500 and I purchased Dec 2013. I have had a few relatively minor issues one with an ammonia sensor and a problem with the security latch on the hood both were covered under warranty. Other than the half dozen flashes, its been great. I love my truck, couldn't ask for anything more than what I have :)

19K miles on my very early 2011 3500 (took delivery 9/11/10), almost all towing a 5th wheel RV. Only problems have been a bad output speed sensor and solenoid in the 68RFE that threw it into limp mode at around 12K miles (1 day fix at dealer under powertrain warranty) and some early iPod/radio/nav system interface problems that turned out to be an Apple iOS glitch in one particular revision. Otherwise, we love the truck - both my wife and I will drive towing the 5er. It's quiet, comfortable and capable. Would another 35 BHP and 215 lb-ft be nice? I suppose, but it's really not needed for us.

Rusty

Great feedback ! It is a nice reminder of how great these trucks really are. It is easy to forget that the mass's don't have problems if all you read are the problems. Certainly makes me feel better about my recent upgrade and I am sure it will help others who are researching their next truck purchase.
