David,you should have asked for a ride at the last wrench day. I have bilstein remote resevoirs on that truck . Yes shocks that arecustom valved are the best way to go. All the shock companies give dimensions-compressed and extended on their web sites and most will have multiple valving options. To be spot on they may need some tweaking for the ride you want,most of us don't agree on what the ride should be.
