:{I own a 92 dodge d250 an the front end sags quite a bit and I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of good springs to put in the front end or if I should just by a another set of stock coil springs?

I can PM you, however this is public knowledge and someone else may benefit from it.



The MOOG 7226 would be pretty close to the OEM spring and the 7226S would be the super extra heavy duty.



I have both and can find only 1/4" difference in the length. Both are the same dia wire and O. D. I have used both on them.



I recommend the 7226S as it seems to set the truck up higher. You can also spec the NAPA version of the 7226 or 7226S and I have also used the Car Quest version of the 7226S.

Check for bent lower A frames first. If the truck has too much positive camber bent A frames are likely.

I'm a little confused about the spring part #s. NAPA web site lists only two springs for this application.

I don't HAVE the NAPA part numbers so I cannot tell you which is the 7226S.



You'd have to call NAPA and request the MOOG7226S and see what their # is.



I'd have to look in my file for the invoice which may have the item number. I DID look in one of my three ring binders but I have three of them and they are full of notes. Worthless, as I can't find anything in there when I need it.



You'd better just phone the store.

That appears to be per pair, but I don't have that confirmed yet.

Best I can tell from the specs the S should raise the front about 1" more than the standard 7226.

CumminsForum has the 7226 price listed at $80 per pair, but they don't say where you can buy them for that price. And the Amazon price is delivered, tax and shipping included.

I think I'll drive a mile to get mine for the extra $3. Then I get to look at the 22 ish hot blonde driver at the parts store. Well worth the $3 to watch her walk to the van. ;) :-laf
 
So would you suggest going with the heavier duty front coil springs ?



And dont chastise me im only 16 and its my first Dodge Diesel if owned.
 
The heavier spring will only serve to last longer. However, I would suggest replacing the ball joints and all the rubber bushings as well.

GL, I think that I just might of thought of a new 'event' for SOP, we'll call it Petes' hunt. Everyone starts at the barn, runs to their trucks, takes off; full throttle, cold engine, and runs to Peru to find the hottest chick at the local NAPA. I don't know where to go from there, maybe the next guy can help make up the rest of the rules. :-laf
 
Chris, the Carquest is full of Cummins guys! The owner and his # 1 guy both have trucks. The girls are good looking too. The older one is a little chunky, but nice. Friendly too. The young one is the hottie, but I hear she's been around. Alot! :-laf





Then, on the way back to the farm, you have to smoke at least 2 people on their riding lawnmower. :D

It almost sounds like you think that's a bad thing? Get the best of both worlds- a hottie who shows her appreciation (referring back to the other thread where you mentioned fat chicks and mopeds).
