2002, 2500 4 x 4 Quad Cab short bed. Had steering box replaced at about 5,000 miles under warranty. Seemed to help but it is not as tight as I would like.
2001 4x4, 74,000 miles. Wanders all over, done so since new. Haven't tried any fixes except for over center and it's still is bad. Takes me several miles to drive my wifes rig properly without overcorrecting all the time.
2001 QC 2500 4x4... still wanders... didn't pay to go to dealer, just got jacked around... If I could buy a truck for 2000. less they can keep their useless warranty!
Lukes Link seems such an inexpensive and logical solution to all this track bar issue. And it is "wear adjustable". Worked for the wandering issue. Did not solve "pull" issue but finally a new set of Cooper Discover tires did.
Mine would pull to the right all the time. I gradually raised the Caster angle on the right side each time I had a front end allignment done. I need to have it lowered just a little now as it is trying to go left. Tire wear is normal on the front, Flat.
Years ago mechanics would raise the caster angle to allow for the camber in the roads. No one wants to do that anymore for fear of legal problems.
Dave, I had a right pull and had as much as he could do with a 4x4 and did not help much but some. Rotated tires and did not do much. Later new tire were much better but it now pulls some to left. So next alignment will consider returning it to original settings, but first I'll do another tire rotation to confirm its left pull.
