1. How much power would you gain by installing a set of 215 injectors?
My experience is that there are several types of "power". Actual Horsepower (measured on a dyno), "theoretical power" (with calculator), "seat of your pants power" and "BS power".
I have more fun with the "seat of your pants power", but it is hard to discuss, so "Actual Horsepower" (measured on a dyno) is what I usually use.
I have 370 injectors. As I understand, when I block off the AFC, my fuel cam does not come into play. The "seat of your pants power" is there. The "theoretical power" is said to be about 40 to 60 HP. Were they worth while, yes. The 215 injectors I have not experienced.
2. Where should the timing be set? I don't know from experience, but most of what I read says 15. 5 degrees. In the near future, that is where mine will be.
My Ram currently shows 250 HP on the Dyno. This is without full acceleration due to excessive EGTs. My mods are listed on the thread "High Egt's - Why?".
I suggest go with the injectors, 3GSK (abt $125) and set the timing at 15. 5 degrees.
The most impressive single mod I made was the 3GSK. I did this before the transmission, and the transmission even liked it.
I almost forgot, I use the "BS power" (Bull S**T) on the gasser guys. :-laf Oo.
